Seem to remember always noticing a big advert standing on the Kippax(was it on the roof of the main stand before they redeveloped it?) that said 'smile please you're in Grennhall Whitley land.Greenalls at Maine Road.
Was a little lost on me at the time though in truth as it was 'pre drinking days' for me.

Not been in for years, but prior to many an afternoon of Maine Road misery I'd have a lunch time session in the Lass O'Gowrie before jumping in a taxi to the ground. They certainly did some proper quality (strong!!) beer in there.
To be honest the last time I went in there was the season we went up under Keegan which couldn't really count as miserable really could it! (So it wasn't all drowning your sorrows in anticipation)
