City break in Europe.

Cologne is a stunning city, Europe's undiscovered gem, with the Rhine going through the middle of it. Best in summer, when it has a Mediterranean vibe in the heart of Germany, or Christmas when the markets and entertainment is on, though, not sure about March.

Antwerp is rather nice. As is Leuven. Stockholm is the bees knees but rather expensive on the ale (and flights). Also agree about Cologne, very beautiful and unspoilt somewhat (on 2nd thoughts don't go there it's horrible, you'll hate it).

Seville is a very civilised, beautiful and buzzing City. Small and perfectly formed.

Brighton is great for a drinking dancing shopping seeing the sea place.

Or how about flying to Majorca and getting a smart little train to Soller/Port Soller. It's a lovely little village and a nice little beach town. Best of both worlds.

Or a hassle free flight from MAN to Perpignan then a great drive down to Collioure which is a cracking town with lots of arty types, music and good food and booze (a bit expensive though)

Good shout mate, been wanting to do Seville for a while,France has also been on the agenda, but I'd like to take more time, probably a Month or so,and hire a car to do that.

Did Seville last May. Loved it. Fantastic city and not spoiled by loads of tourists. Great architecture, loads of places to eat and drink. Definitely worth a try.

Going to Venice in March for the wife's birthday. Love the place. So unlike any other City I've been to

I'm surprised I haven't seen Dubrovnik mentioned? I've never been but my mum does a lot of research before holidays and says it's highly rated and one of the best city breaks around.
