City break in Europe.

budapest is cracking.. My mate lives there.. So went twice last year.....

He dresses like a 80's rock star and loves the music... So we went a few of us for the weekend dressed as a rock band.. We called our selves Gras$snake..

My mate loved it when we turned up and said " right get changed now " we all replied " we cant.. these are the only clothes for the weekend"

People of budapest loved it and we just stuck to the plan " we are Gras$snake " signed a few autogrpahs etc etc.....

apart from the joke.. its a cracking city.. very big, but it was good that we had a guide shwing us things etc etc.. very cheap ale

Lol loved the video mate,very funny indeed.I think I'll have to wait for Seville,i chose Bruges last year,so the wife has picked Budapest.your right though,a guide makes all the difference.Even if you don't know anyone,it's worthwhile paying for a guided tour,preferably a walking tour,most of those tour buses are shit.

Prague and Amsterdam Are ok but have a seedy nature about them, bratislava was alright, paris is a shit hole IMO,


I'm thinking of taking the missus away for 2or3 nights next month, any suggestions for places when you've got the missus with u? It's going to be a surprise for her so can't ask her where she'd like to go, I know she'd say Rome though. But Ive heared everything costs a fortune there (I.e. £6 for a coffee)

Loved Krakow,but was only two years since we we're there,surprised with your thoughts on Paris,i think it's a lovely City.Rome is quite expensive,but just like Paris and London,if you follow the golden rule,don't eat and drink near the main tourist attractions,you wont pay the earth.

Obviously a great City for anyone who likes their history,i loved St Peters Basilica,the Vatican,and the Sistine chapel,but i did find it to be dirty city,with lots of very loud yank tourists!

Edinburgh is coming up cheap for flights from Bristol, I've been before but she hast lovely city too. Riga was the other place coming up cheap. Anyone been there?

Paris is probably ok with the missus, just found it to be a bit of an unfriendly and dirty city at times.

Been to Riga,lovely old city,just be careful where you drink at,lots of bars and clubs run by the Russian mafia.

Bath is nice as well,went there last Month for the first time,beautiful place.
