cheap flights from liverpool to seville and you can do cadiz or cordoba in a car easy or just stay in seville, they are all lovely cities.

Couldn't agree more,Germany at Christmas is a very special place,I've done Cologne twice,Munich and Nuremberg,and as someone else suggested,I'm off to Dresden next December.
Thank you all very much,some great suggestions in there for places to visit,quite a few of them i have done already ,Rome,Barcelona,Amsterdam,Munich,Cologne,Krakow,and Venice.
Seville is my pick of the bunch,but the wife now seems to have decided upon Budapest,which i don't think anyone has mentioned yet.

Riga , Tallin , Vinous , Warsaw, Kracow, Budapest
I have been to 4 of them and can say that Karacow, Budapest are cheap and also thou steeped in history as well.
Places like Amsterdam ( obvious ) but like somene said Florence, Venice, Paris , Barca are excellent as well but going to cost you more in the pocket when your there....
