City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

Not in Manchester. The £2 fare is funded separately.

Would that work if you get a bus to a Manchester zone to say Ashton? Will the extra quid come from council tax?

I don't know why I am that bothered because I don't pay anything anyway :)

Sorry for the delay in coming back to you all on the points raised over the last couple of pages.
Just a few updates and answers to questions...

  • For every matchday we inform operators of the schedule and time they're required to be at the starting stop of their route. Unfortunately this is not always communicated properly and issues arise, such as buses departing early or late. We also try to speak to the drivers, via the operator, but again that's not always possible - hence the issue for Sparta where I couldn't provide a further update. We are constantly working with the operators to address these and can only apologise for the impact to fans' journeys.
  • We review timings and performance after every matchday to see if any tweaks are required. MC12 was mentioned, and we tweaked the timings for this so that it should now be faster.
  • We are aware that coming into the festive period, journeys are likely to take longer for the evening kick offs. We'll therefore be tweaking the departure times for Feyenoord and Nottingham Forest so that services depart a little earlier to account for increased congestion. These times, along with the other confirmed December and January fixtures will be added to the site in the coming weeks.
  • We've had a couple of messages regarding post-match departure and whether 25 minutes is sufficient time or not. As you can imagine, it's a bit of a balancing act managing the departure for supporters who are sat on the side close to Connell College and those who aren't, and those who are able to walk quickly and those who aren't.
We felt that 25 minutes is probably just about the right amount of time, so that people aren't waiting too long while allowing those further away time to make it.
At the moment we will be maintaining that approximate departure time, however if you are concerned you may miss the service please speak to the driver and staff on the ground to let them know, so that they don't depart without you. We don't want you rushing back and struggling thinking you'll miss the service.
Any update on Bus 7 for the Prague game. Did it run ?

Will there be buses running on boxing day for the Everton game (given there will not be any public transport)?
Public transport stops on Christmas Eve around 6pm, doesn't run on Christmas day, but returns on boxing day.

It's probably a Sunday schedule, but it will be running.

Fairly certain there are no trains or trams on boxing day and doubtful whether there will be any kind of normal bus service .

I’m not sure why you’d be fairly certain they’ll be no trams, since they’ve run every other Boxing Day for the last 30 + years?
