City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

My lad is going today with his friend on the Sale bus and they're in East stand Lvl 3. You should make it back to the bus with time to spare. Only thing that's worried me recently is that they seem to be alot busier on the way back as people who get the Metrolink don't want to queue up for it going home. Is there any way that buying a return ticket on the way out can guarantee you a place on the way back? Or is it not possible to see how many return tickets were sold on the way out?
Hi, thanks for your comments. We always ensure return tickets take priority and we monitor we have all our returns. Some matches are busier than others but we still do have capacity usually on the 10. This is something we continue to monitor to ensure we can get you all to and from the game safely and comfortably.

Is Middleton twinned with Eccles?
*lol* No, I’m not well enough to go today so my Canadian granddaughter is staying in Alkrington and, although she’s found her way round Europe, I’m daft enough to be thinking she can’t manage Manchester!! She laughed her head off when I told her I was checking and double checking!

Over protective grandparent!! :-) ;-)

I hope the angry little guy who had a paddy because the “express” bus stopped on Ancoats St and let us on got to the ground before the chips ran out.

Question on these, can you get on one of the shuttle buses back if you didn’t get it going to the ground?

I usually meet pals in town before the game but one of these shuttle buses home after the match would be really convenient.

Great service….a bit of a hiccup on Saturday with bus no 9…..very late and resulting in having to get an Uber to the match.
A stop at the Nags Head (Davyhulme Circle) for both the 9 and 9x (both routes pass there) would no doubt increase usage and would make a lot of sense…..a big catchment area.

How's the service been on MD5?

Thinking of using it for the Brighton game in a couple of weeks as the tram isn't running between St Peters Square and Piccadilly Gardens..

Miles better since they changed the route to pass the Apollo, rather than the previous insane detour via the Mancunian Way.

Anyone with experience getting the 11X back afterwards? is it usually pretty full?
I get the 11 which finishes at Tyldesley. It’s generally busy but I’ve never seen anyone not be able to get on so the 11x would be much quieter I’d guess.

Due to operational issues, MC8x Macclesfield - Etihad will not run for today’s fixture.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Is the MC8 running? Not turned up in. Bramhall and not showing on the tracker.
Hi, I have spoken to the operator who have confirmed that the bus in running. Unfortunately, the bus isn’t tracking so I cannot advise exactly where he is but he is on his way. We apologise for any inconvenience.
