If I remember correctly PGMOL said it was a case of human error on Simon Hooper's part. We should have used the same defence saying we have that many elected club captains they all thought they could approach the referee.

Seriuosly, though, they have just down played the Arteta punishment saying the game is emotional then ignored that defence when it come to city

What I can’t understand is why we’re paying that when the ref, who admittedly got it wrong, gets off Scott free.

He caused it and should pay 2/3rds of the fine, our reaction gets the other third.
