May be an unpopular opinion judging by some of the reactions in this thread but it's quite simple it's supply and demand, it seems to come as a shock to some but football clubs private companies and as such charge what they can get away with, they are not social enterprises or not for profit organisations, sure I would love it to be cheaper than it is, but whilst demand is high it's never going to happen, people enjoy going to watch top class football and are willing to pay

probably not the best guy to get money advice from... I get the point though ; )
He had 2 million € stuffed behind the couch hidden from the authorities at these meetings

I would love the German model but it's faux moralising from the likes of Uli, not least for his hypocrisy. It is like that in Germany because BY LAW every club is at least 50% owned by the fans. He acts as if it's some cultural value that separates the communitarian Germans from the individualistic English and allows rich twats like Uli to be smug cunts. No, it's a law that did it. Not some German norm.

What we need is our lot to protest it while we are at the game. The only problem will be that 1894 have planned to celebrate the Kippax on this game so the club will focus on that. West Brom fans are planning banners like we did at Arsenal and Palace at Chelsea - we should join in with them in my opinion.

Ulises Hoeness forgot to mention that their stadium was built by the german state and they're under an obligation to charge cheaper ticket prices in lieu of rent. Oh and a few munich based companies have been subsidising their club since the dawn of time too.

It is a disgrace BUT if you're really upset about it then fire off an e-mail or a letter to the club and make your feelings known.

I don't know what the answer is other than a fixed price ceiling for away fans but I'm not keen on reciprocal pricing such as charging Arsenal fans £62, as has been said it isn't their fault.

Just for reference ticket price back in 1981

what all clubs should do is whatever the home team charges the away fans, then when the game is reversed then that's what the away fans get charged,
eg, arsenal charge us 62 notes then we charge them 62 notes, plus all teams carnt put the cost up if its a important game

and we need to sort players wages out as well because that also puts the cost of ticket up
Its not fair to punish arsenal fans just cos there club are robbing twats
Mind u ours is no better know
All tickets forall prem league games should be 25 maybe 30 quid home or away
Championship atleast 5 quid less
And so on down divisions

There was a picture on Twitter that showed ticket prices in the 1980s. They used to be £1.80 standing and less than a fiver seating. says it all really
