Had a quick glance at that document (never seen it before so thanks for posting it) and it would appear that each single letter was anything between 100-150 discs. Let's say 120 average.
At a quick glance the total amount of letters and stars to make up the song is around 300.
That means, they were going to have to sell over 35,000+ of these bloody discs to ever complete the song!
Just what numpty in the marketing department ever thought that level of sale was achievable at the prices quoted.
I'm lost for words really.
Now we have a master plan to relocate the whole scheme to Commonwealth Way. Rather like buying a seat in CB Level 2 only to be told front row in the corner of the family stand and being asked to believe it's a good thing!
Sorry completely disagree I'm shocked that there aren't 35,000 fans that think 65 quid isn't a worthwhile investment to secure your very own bit of the club with your name and words that are meaningful to you as a City fan.
If money's tight, that's sacrificing not going to a couple of games. Great b'day present for friends and family too.
With nearly 8 million fans on fb and 40,000 going to a division 1 play-off final I can't believe that there aren't that many City fans that would want to leave their own individual and permanent mark on the etihad campus.
I think it's fantastic and can't wait to see my own disk in place at the stadium.
Sacrificing games for a bit of metal?
