City fan suffers broken leg after being attacked at Leeds game

Sounds like a verse from the "12 days of Christmas" ?
12 on field opponents,
11 pound for two pints,
10 line up changes,
9 ticket partners,
8 hateful clubs,
7 kits per season,
6 match officials,
5 points behind,
4 Fulham goals,
3 panel members,
too many tourists,
and a fanbase who are sick of it all!

The difference is, we all have an emotional and lifetime attachment to City. We don't for any of the companies you have mentioned, or any other company. (not having a go at you on that point)

That's why we are getting annoyed and upset about the way the directors are treating the fans, especially the Legacy fans.

I honestly don't want City to lose the 115 case as it will destroy the club and tarnish all the clubs achievement. If City do lose 115 and are either deducted a large amount of points meaning possible relegation, or if City are relegated at the end of the season, the legacy fans who have stuck by the club for decades will still stick by the club again, no matter what happens to the club.

The Directors should remember that.
The directors don't give a stuff about what happens at the club after they've left. And they'll all piss off sharpish if we're relegated.

A premium general admission area that just happens to have lots of away fans, for quite a few games. Isn’t this the exact same type of area going in the north stand?
As has been said, 93:20 is supposed to be a home area, sold via the normal general admission process. The club needs to do a full investigation of how Leeds fans (assuming there were Leeds fans) got in there and be transparent with City Matters, rather than trying to sweep it under the carpet. We know one was apparently moved from 107 but were there others? We know Leeds fans were in proper hospitality sections as there's incontrovertible video footage of them.

As others have said, many of us have sat in home areas in away stadiums over the years but mostly we've had the sense to keep our heads down and, even if we're clocked without giving the game away too obviously, most home fans are generally sound with it. I've taken both an Everton and united fan who used my son's seat and both behaved impeccably. I've had a Bournemouth fan I'd worked with, at a club sponsor, sat in front of me. He was no bother and openly admitted his allegiance.

The problem comes with the ones who don't keep a low profile, whatever area they're in but it's likely to be more of a problem in areas like 93:20, because the profile is slightly different.

Couldn’t agree more.

The only way the Directors will raise an eyebrow, let alone take an interest, is if we embark on large scale, coordinated protests.

As I said the other day, they don’t give on solitary fuck about us legacy fans but they do care about optics and they hate to be embarrassed on the world stage.

Like we saw last season, they only respond if they are shamed into it.

Of course away fans attending games in home areas has always happened and thankfully nothing much usually happens.

It does seem to an issue in that particular part of the ground though. It’s not just one or two either. Similar with some of the corporate areas - I’ve was in the Mancunian suite last season surrounded by Liverpool fans openly celebrating.

The club probably do need to do an investigation, but they’d be investigating themselves as they are the ones giving these tickets to ticket sites or to sponsors.

It's becoming a problem because more and more away fans and tourists treat the stadium as though they are the ones at home.

Great laugh at Wembley as well. Congratulating us after the game etc... . and drinking together beforehand . Totally the opposite experience to Villa

I think they gained respect from a lot of City fans when they brought 12,000+ on the last game of the season in the 90s, and vice-versa as we didn't really go hard at them on the 'going down' thing.

And they probably liked us singing WWYWYWS at Newcastle during that 90s and 2000s.

Plus they had the good taste to interview me for their programme a few years ago!!! ;-) :-)

For anyone who thinks that is inappropriate I apologise in advance. I am just being my usual (trying to be) humorous self. I try not to take things too seriously these days .......obviously insulting John Stones is excluded. Insult JB and be prepared!! :-) ;-)

Villa were the most disgusting fan base I've ever come across (that includes Rags and Scousers). That day at Wembley shocked me how bad they were

Great idea and initiative by spurs however, at the Leeds game a steward told my mate that you need proof that they are away fans, if the stewards ask them if they support city and they reply yes there’s nothing they can do apparently, so short of videoing them celebrating should the away team score there’s not a lot can be done.
I'm not sure all stewards adopt that policy. In fact they definitely don't. There were two middle aged German sounding blokes, two seats up from me V Liverpool. Didn't pay much attention to them, apart from noticing they were talking foreign. Anyway, was having my half time pint and I saw them being led out, looking a bit perplexed at the whole situation. Didn't appear to speak any English or understand anything the stewards were asking them. I asked the local steward a bit later what had happened and apparently some busy fucker had noticed they didn't celebrate the City goals enough for their liking and reported them. Which seemed like all the evidence the stewards needed to boot them out. Felt bad for them.
