Wouldn't the police have to arrest everyone to stop anyone getting off the coach. Until they have identified the culprits they have to contain everyone as, at that point, they don't know if the person getting off is one of the thieves. Once they are happy that the people they are looking for have been apprehended they will de-arrest the innocent travellers. Surely people realise that and understand why it has to be done that way.

Why that is a problem for some people I really cant understand.

i agree, or to save time and hastle, they could have just been pointed out.

Would you want to stand up in front of everyone and point saying it was him, him, him and him? Imagine what would happen to the poor guy that did that either on the way home or when he was recognised next time he was at a game.

The police will ask people quietly and make sure that anyone who gives information can't be picked out by the offenders or the idiots that don't what see the problem is. Once the theives have been provisionally identified they will be taken outside to be identified by the shopkeeper and any other witnesses. When the police are happy that every guilty party has been arrested everyone else is free to go.

Maybe the people who were delayed and arrive home even later than they would have done anyway might have something to say about having to wait around whilst these tossers were apprehended. If not banned by the club, I'd at least hope that no other coach firm would allow them to travel with them.

Bring back hanging, that'll sort scum like that out.

Ha, I can't believe someone seriously called them scum earlier in the thread. I would never have had David Cameron down as a Bluemoon poster!
don`t you mean Tony Blair

Bunch of low life scrotes - I hate people like them.

It's ok to steal from people is it? A bit of a laugh? Just lads having a bit of fun? Just a bit of coke - no harm is it?

Go get fucked.
Well said mate. I would love to see these 'great lads' reaction if I went and stole their car or tv.

I can only guess the nobs defending them are kids that don't know better but should.

I hope the criminal convictions don't affect the poor lads chances of getting into university :-(

Some people are going well over the top thinking these people should be banned from the club, what people do with there own life is there own business. I'm not saying it's cool to shoplift and wouldn't be at it myself but they were representing the club any more than a guy kicking off in a bar on matchday anywhere in the world are. How many people that have posted actually know these people? Very few I would guess yet alot feel able to comment on these people being "scum", who hasn't stolen something in there life or watched a copy DVD or downloaded music from a hookey site are we all scum, are your brother, sister, son, daughter or any other relative scum for stealing (which this is)? Think not, distasteful incident but nowt to do with the club or most of city supporters

Does it excuse what they did that they "follow City everywhere" and are "great supporters"? Or that most of us as kids nicked things from a corner shop and ran off laughing? No, that's got bugger all to do with it. A load of blokes with beer in their bellies steaming into the shop must have scared the owner. He was right to want to shut it down and I hope the ones that robbed him get a few months shut down themselves.
