Until they have identified the culprits they have to contain everyone as, at that point, they don't know if the person getting off is one of the thieves. Once they are happy that the people they are looking for have been apprehended they will de-arrest the innocent travellers. Surely people realise that and understand why it has to be done that way.
Why that is a problem for some people I really cant understand.
i agree, or to save time and hastle, they could have just been pointed out.
Would you want to stand up in front of everyone and point saying it was him, him, him and him? Imagine what would happen to the poor guy that did that either on the way home or when he was recognised next time he was at a game.
The police will ask people quietly and make sure that anyone who gives information can't be picked out by the offenders or the idiots that don't what see the problem is. Once the theives have been provisionally identified they will be taken outside to be identified by the shopkeeper and any other witnesses. When the police are happy that every guilty party has been arrested everyone else is free to go.
Maybe the people who were delayed and arrive home even later than they would have done anyway might have something to say about having to wait around whilst these tossers were apprehended. If not banned by the club, I'd at least hope that no other coach firm would allow them to travel with them.
