City fans arrested after Sunderland game :(

So glad the last 2 pages of this thread had decent, normal human beings posting.
I almost wept for humanity at the first two pages - with a couple of no-nothing scumbags thinking it's ok to rob and steal just because it's "the lads" doing it and they support city".

They are not "good lads" if they go around robbing people - no matter how much you dress it up.

And some other numpty said why didn't the shop owner stay open and let them have beer if he wanted to make a living?

HELLO - maybe he has set opening/closing hours, or maybe he just didn't want to serve a bunch of drunken hooligans.

Ever think of that.

If you want to rob people, you deserve all you get punishment wise. Fucking disgrace/

Wasnt there so cant comment on the type of people they may or not be - perhaps those in the know - the sites so-called experts can give us the full lowdown?

Funny how the media are wrong when they slag city off but exactly right this time? Double Standards boys.

Pissed fans on an away trip get in to minor trouble shocker. It's hardly crime of the century is it?

Some of the birch em, bring back national service brigade's comments are OTT.

I know a few of those on the bus that got into trouble. I don't know the details, but by the sounds of it, one or two got caught robbing and the rest of them had to go to the station with them.

I'm surprised there was more arrests near the ground, after police in the North East were once again fucking pricks.

I think this is possibly what happened to those poor innocent chaps from the traffic jam gettaway bus.....

blue - "excuse me, mr sunderland shopkeeper, I was just wondering whether you would be so kind as to sell my good self and my fellow colleagues as much ale as we can carry out of your shop, enabling you to make a healthy profit somewhat unexpected on a sunday late afternoon (oh and a mars bar)"

shop keeper - "awfully sorry, old bean, though I think I will put down the shutters and turn away your kind offer of a large transaction"

No excuse.

I don't like stealing and don't do it, i have stole once from a shop and that was a service station on the way back from sunderland last year, but people on our do "service staton jobs" on the way back from most games, i don't like it so stay out of it but they just do it for a bit of a laugh its not that bad, and i don't see how the club can ban anyone for it, it had nothing to do with football

boring story. theres a lot worse things going on in the world. most awayday minibus trips involve some shop/service station being robbed. if this was liverpool fans there would already be a justice campaign going on.

ha ha - true... I just like the thought of them at the back window of the bus in the traffic jam... "put your fuckin foot down, driver, that copper on a bike is catching us" as they try to shotgun the evidence!

They got caught bang to rights and were punished, serves them right.

Ok, I'm sure many of us have shoplifted the odd bar of chocolate in our youth or done some jolly jape as a drunken laugh, I should know, but for grown "adults" to behave in this way is disgraceful in my opinion. Not on at all, mob mentality rules again, no excuses I'm afraid, and their mates defending them should know better.

If your a football fan attending a game you're reperesenting your team, and any stupid behaviour reflects badly on MCFC. If I worked for the club I'd ban anyone convicted/cautioned/fined/aprehended with anything connected to gametime, home or away.

Sadly the paltry fine is hardly punishment enough, the lads involved are probably laughing about it now with their mates thinking they're "well cool innit?" I'm quite liberal minded about a lot of things, but for petty crime and vandalism and repeated behaviour I say bring back the stocks in town centres, name and shame.

seems some people can't see beyond the end of their noses or the bottom of their pint pots. Does anyone think Sheik Mansour would look at publicity like this and brush it off as just "a bit of fun", certainly not. our owner is an honourable man with high moral standards, and if he thought these were being compromised by mindless morons who think they can do what they feel like "cos its a laugh and shit happens" how long will he stick around to watch? we could of course go back to the "good old days" when the club didn't have a pot to piss in, brought in free or shit players and never had ambitions of being amongst the elite of world football...at least that way no one will give a shit if the fans behave like highwaymen
