City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

Don't think the empty seats is a big deal, especially when most are sold. the leaving early I don't like to see but not sure much can be done to stop it really. Not sure they can do much about either short of making s/c holders attend.

I think we need seats like you get at Alton Towers where the fuckers get strapped in at the start of the game and released at half-time and at full-time. to stop the early leaving ****s.

Playing devils advocate it could be argued she is depriving a fellow fan of a season ticket and could always get another when uni is finished.i honestly dont no what the answering but i bet the owners never expected to see so many empty seats during a game or so many leaving early. Only they can solve the issue that is if indeed.they think it is a problem

Yeh completely get that, she looked at that option but the rest of the family have been sat there since the stadium opened with her joining us a few years later. Think she asked the club and they said it would be unlikely she'd be able to get her exact seat back and didn't fancy sitting on her own which I reckons fair enough. The new exchange is something that's helped however don't think she's had much luck with trying to sell it on there for the mid week games.

I mean people from Manchester who havent got 2 bob to rub together we all no loads of mates &family who have stopped going because of the ticket price .these fans are being replaced with people who come just for a day out and are not interested in supporting or cheering for City .we are going the same way as the rags .while some season tickets prices are very cheap the same cant be said for individual match day tickets so it hardly suprising game after game there are loads of empty seats and the atmosphere is crap
There aren't loads of empty seats game after game. There are some empty seats in the hospitality sections which I suspect is universal across all Premiership clubs. The Stoke game you referenced early was a great crowd seeing as it was a midweek fixture, rearranged with a week's notice, and live on TV. Stoke brought about 1,000 and City sold the entire 3rd tier above them so you are exaggerating.

Match day ticket prices are too high from the perspective of supporters. From the point of view of the club, they want to maximise revenue so will probably look at the attendances and think they have got it right.

The problem with high match day ticket prices is that it is driving away old school blues and young fans who would rather go to the game than watch it in the pub.i watched the Liverpool game on telly in Turkey believe me there was loads.of empty seats all round the ground.after saying that we are one of the best supported sides in the country and are getting nearly 20 thousand more than at Maine road .it is an expensive do watching football considering how many games we play .i doff my cap to all that stil go

Dont blame her for not wanting to give it up as all the family sit together .its great she still has the passion and desire to go with all the hassle stress living away and being at uni can bring .a proper blue family well done for keeping the tradition going

The ground was packed. You're imagining a problem which isn't there. That day, 1st half there was heavy rain. You sit in the front few seats, you get soaked so a few people move around stand in concourses etc. If you think there are loads of fans were absent from that game you are wrong

Perhaps the solution is that for any S/T, if it's not scanned in a minimum number of games per season (which allows for resale via the OS) then it doesn't get renewed but gives someone else a shot at getting one.
That's not too far away from how Bayern control their season tickets, i know their waiting list is a lot longer than ours and they price their tickets fairly but they have a three strikes system, if during the season you've missed or your card has not been used for three games then you lose your season ticket to others on the list. They see it if you're not using the card to fill the seat then there's others on the list that will.

We have to disagree mate i aint getting into an argument but we are still getting nearly more than 20.000 than we did at Maine road .considering the amount for a ticket and the amount of games we play to consistently get 50.000 plus and be one of the best supported teams in the country is excellent news and the fans are a credit to the club

The best solution is to ignore the c**ts that keep going on about it, imho.

I've missed a few this season because they keep moving games I've already made an effort to be available for, on most occasions someone has been in my seat, but sometimes (Huddersfield and Stoke being 2 recently), there are just no takers, even for free.
