City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

I wonder what time these two left?

City didn't bother with a full strength team to start with, and both sides had made 3 subs to save players for future games. The team is the manager's choice, to watch is the fans choice, plus it was a nice day the the Grand National at 5.15pm which was more important to a lot of people than watching an uninspiring game peter out.
I take it you left early

I prefer the posts from early leavers who say they couldn't be arsed staying until the end.

There are so many excuses on here from transport to corporates to "boring" passing football and to attacking the wrong end in the second half. The reality is that we've lost a lot of our passion as a fan base.

People can choose when they leave but let's not pretend 90 percent of the Family Stand had good reasons to leave with ten minutes to go.
Yet another one having a go at us family standers .the south stand was near enough empty at 85 mins.
You would have thought they could of made the effort to stop after the players made the effort to kick towards them.the players must of thought why bother ffs !

the family stand needs moving or getting rid of. its always has loads of empty seats in it. kids on holiday, midweek game, 5.30 kick off....... whats the point in having it when its half empty most weeks. when it was the north stand it was full pretty much every game.

its weird though as in the past, when we were winning barely anyone left, it seems to be a recent thing imo. why pay all that money and then leave ten minutes before the end. its the same people every week swell.
Get rid of it and bring the kids up into the south stand could bring a bit of atmosphere with them.they are used too folding their arms at school so will fit in nicely

If nobody left early it'd be hard to disperse 54,000 people at once (hopefully soon to be 60,000). At least if half have left before the end it's easier to get way from the place.

I think it's modern culture and attention spans as well though. When the game is won people think job done let's get back in the car/pub.

Can't see the local road infrastructure coping with 60,000 - it hasn't coped with 54,000. The club really needs to sort road pinch points and with local councils and the highways agency - some quite a distance from the ground. The Metro needs dramatic change too - with ALL Piccadilly trams going to the Eithad and starting from the Etihad for two hours before and 2 hours after a match.

The weather was lovely yesterday, so I think we can discount that as an excuse in future.

It's a shame people do it but there needs to be an effort by the club and the council(who do well off Manchester City) to remove the reasons for leaving early then people wont have excuses for doing so, I saw the queue for the tram yesterday and I stayed way after the final whistle for a pint, it was ridiculous you're better off walking back to Piccadilly.

I'm in the East Stand mrtwiceaseason so I was neutral on which way we kick. I think South Stand Level 1 was pretty full until the final whistle and East Stand Level 1 looked like the Marie Celeste in comparison. (I also supported making the North Stand the Family Stand at the time and didn't grumble when I vacated my seat behind the goal).

If people want to leave early that's OK but let's say it like it was. I've pointed out before now that there has been a fire drill in South Stand Level 3 before the end of some previous games. This time around, I felt it helped the atmosphere that we attached the Southbound stand in the second half.

we should use cctv and watch people leave. then block that card till 10 mins after ko. for no reason other than we can laugh at the part timers.
