Was told in November that suissegas were paying around £20m a year for the bridge and there would be a renegotiation on the nike shirt deal, etihad deal and every different part of the campus would be sponsored to the hilt by different companies. Figures mentioned said all in it could be worth £150m a year easily with more to come! Came from someone in a high admin role at city and for obvious reasons was embarrassed that after a few drinks couldn't hold the excitement in! Lol when you see the documents on the gov website there's even nike logos on the fencing around the pitches, goals etc and nike swooshes all around the CFA exterior and interior, bet they didn't come free!!!
Extremely doubtful, I'd have thought.

Don't know bud, just passing it on. Its a landmark now though and has massive exposure? Maybe sheikh mansour will do extra business with them in his other project's?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

There is no chance that Suissegas are paying £20m a year to sponsor the bridge, or indeed that the campus will bring in anything like £150m a year in sponsorship.

Hope so, as our Nike shirt deal is joke. £12 million per year is woeful, extremely good deal for Nike though, bad for City.

Even QPR get £9 milion.

Air Asia is probably not the best shirt sponsor to have at the moment

Anything over £2m for the bridge and £20m for the campus and we should be delighted at this stage. Then if the CFA starts to churn out stars it'll be more advantageous for companies to link themselves with it and we can expect increased figures.

I do find it a bit strange no figures have been mentioned in the media, not saying it may be £20 million.......but you normally hear a figure being banded about.

I've no idea, not heard much either but Suissegas' shirt deals with Atalanta and Genoa (?) are over £1m each so we should definitely be looking at a seven figure sum for the bridge and £20m isn't unreasonable for several lower tier sponsors plus (hopefully) increased income from Nike for their fucking logo being used all over the place.

Hopefully we do see an increase in that range as, coupled with the rumours that Etihad and Nike are renegotiating their first tier sponsorships, we can close the revenue gap on the big 4 further.

Err, £80 million trumps £50 million where I come from. Or am I misreading your post?

In addition, it is understood that City will sign a further five-year deal with three partners for a total of £80 million to sponsor their new training complex, including the splendid new 7,000 capacity stadium for reserve and academy matches.
it says 80M over 5 years?

edit: if its 80M per year, then the rags can kiss good bye
Ahh, I didn't realise you were talking £50 million a year ;) , I can't see that being correct. Where did that quote come from by the way?

I thought it said an extra 340m from etihad to extend for a further 5 years and then 80m from three new sponsors over 5 years

I make that 84m per year
