SSN has been told by a top lawyer the reason FFP is being relaxed is because the EU have told them many parts of it are unenforceable in European law!!!

Can we have our fine back please and maybe we should sue for potential loss of incomes due to being placed in an unfair competitive state due to squad rules pmsl.

We wont pursue of course but its funny as fuck seeing this unravel.

Every time Twattini opens his big mouth and goes on record he is digging a bigger and bigger hole for himself and his corrupt organisation. As for FFP he is now as good as admitting what we all knew all along, that it was created to protect the cartel and stifle competition. Dupont must surely hammer these weasels in the court room now!

I doubt UEFA want to risk putting Platini on any stand, if his performance under cross-examination from Samuel is anything to go by! It might explain moves to get a more watered down version of FFPR accepted and reach settlement on the 10 claims. As opposed to going to any court which would probably leave FFPR in tatters.

LOL They needed a top lawyer to work that out.

Funny it's taken UEFA so long to realise this, any decent lawyer could have told them that from day 1. Article 101 is sacrosant in European Law.

Indeed, and quite a few posters on here having been arguing against it for some time
Mean while we have lost three years of impetus and some great players that we would have put a bid in for

It has certainly put our brakes on and allowed Arsenal and Scum to catch up

That's why I'm going to take this news with a massive pinch of salt on the grounds that it's probably no more than a convenient excuse. If they (UEFA) lose this court case and clubs go after them for damages, they'd have a good case for malpractice against their legal advisors if they hadn't been informed of this from day 1.

Some news leaking through in french press, can't copy paste on an ipad.
Platini : financial and sporting restrictions here to stay.

Its unfuckinbelievable mate! You'd have thought a body as big as UEFA would have made sure it was water tight before bringing in this bullshit proposal!

Question:
Where does this leave Dupont? Does UEFA now settle out of court? Do we get interest on our witheld CL money?

There are more questions than answers....

Let's not forget that our fine was divvy'd up between the clubs who pushed for these rules. I'd want them to pay us that money back.

Yes but in a watered down format. Clubs will still have to spend within their limits, but any losses can be covered by owners as long as the funds given are a gift and not loans levied against the club.

It was obvious from the start what FFP should have been. There's nothing wrong with promoting financial prudence in football, but to do this by stopping legitimate owner investment was and limiting spending beyond your turnover was plainly an attack on Manchester City to halt our rapid progression and to protect the G14 cartel's elite club status.

If this doesn't show how corrupt and self serving European football has become, nothing else ever will.
