City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

It’s about CASH FLOW, not debt or no debt.

If your annual revenues allow you to service your annual expenses, then you have nothing to fear from FFP. By design, it was bullshit, because it allowed a club like Barca to load themselves up on debt until their revenues couldn’t service the debt expense in addition to its transfers & wages…and it all came crumbling down, Barca were forced to wait to sign players COMING ON A FREE, and current players took pay cuts to allow them to sign!

debt should be taken into account..
because just hiding it in hope one day it will go away only adds up to barcelona
how can a fan owned club be in such a mess that they have to give players away they signed 2 seasons ago for £140million and wages of £850.000 a week ? it will not hide the debt or will reduce the debt ??

what are the chances that somebody buys a football for peanuts £200million and turns it into £2.5billion
how can that be so wrong for football ? it should be the bench mark on how to run a football club under FFP

COVID that is how and the very strict spending limits in the Santander League.

There are different types of debt so it gets complicated, and for example City needed a mortgage to move stadiums, and now how opened up a sizable borrowing facility. When looking at gearing ratios compared to normal businesses, the football clubs in most debt aren't normally in trouble, unless there is a massive drop in revenue.

forget the covid-19 crap ? clubs like barcelona united and others of the so called elite clubs was in a mess long before covid-19 hit. the premier league match going fans revenue is so small its like 5% so am not falling for that

the truth is debt at them clubs will never be sorted and will grow to a point when its somebody else's fault or covid-19 hits again. its simple uefa and the elite board members should not be allowed to setup FFP when their clubs are in a right mess and in debt ? if your a uefa member and on the board like barcelona.. your place should be taken off you because you failed in what it set out to be

who are they to judge and look at manchester city books knowing we can never take a look at theirs

M United are not in any financial trouble, they are a money printing machine and continue to be so.

Barcelona's spending limit dropped by 42% in one season or 274m Euros, the whole Santander League dropped by 22%, due to reduced revenues driven by to COVID. Hardly 5%, and not something that could be foreseen. City would be knackered under the same rules, as they are far more strict than anything Uefa came up with.

i was talking about the premier league not a shit spanish league ? united are in a mess and add the new signings to losses made. if £600milion in debt not financial trouble then you must be on the uefa board matey

at what point does that debt gets repaid or stop growing ? covid-19 fell nicely for the elite teams and united
it covers their backs to a point. but also the value of the club is cut by £600million if they sell up
