City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Could someone explain what United's issue with the Glazers really is? And if their issue relates to lack of owners investing? Has it stopped them from spending massive amounts that allegedly 'the club generates?' what is it really? Their argument always circles back to, in essence; 'we had a proper business model, and so we could spend all that money, and it was our right, built on success and fanbase and the size of our club etc etc.' Really? How else is anyone else meant to compete in Prem? I don't quite grasp the issue here of us having a different model causing their meltdown.
I couldn't give a fuck - I'm interested in City, no-one else

So Barcelona announce they are in debt for £1.15billion, where are the FFP police?
At the Etihad banging on the door demanding answers as to why we allowed Garcia to transfer for free? Or maybe a hacker has found an email about how much more electricity we use compared to the G14 clubs. ;)

Sheik Mansour Saves Barca
In a spectacular coup HRH Sheik Mansour of Manchester City has saved Barca from their own folly by purchasing all their fixed assets for €900m, reducing the clubs debt to manageable proportions overnight.
A spokesman for the Sheik said: "We could not stand idly by and watch a great club sink into the abyss."
It is believed that the Sheik has plans to turn Camp Nou into a permanent exhibition of Muslim culture. The spokesmsn said "We will ask CFG if they would let Barca share Girona's stadium, for a suitable rent, of course."
A hacked email from Snr Seriano reads: "That's one in the eye for Teabag."

Despite all efforts to hit us with FFP, there could never be a realistic chance of that occurring through the FA, EPL or UEFA because of the highest of the game's authority, FIFA, under the leadership of the Bungmeister Blatter, granting the World Cup to a desert nation that some may have never heard of and presumably to be played at some time within our traditional season.

Nobody wanted this and the looks of disbelief on everyone's faces at the announcement said it all. This led to a situation that meant the tournament had to receive every effort to promote the tournament and the best way to achieve this was to buy up into a major club in a major European league and to fill the squad there with a high turnover of world stars. PSG became the chosen one, a big name in a one club league. This was to be a mightily expensive job and will carry on until at least this competition is over.

The net result is that PSG became openly backed by a state and if a state could do it then despite the wailing and gnashing of teeth of by those who oppose the buying up of players, the reality was that if it was kosher for one club to circumvent any rules that may have existed and remain in a position to do so forever, then it was also rightful for other clubs to take that same route.

That's my take on it anyway.
