Anyone just see that on the 10 o'clock news? Not quite a hatchet job but not far off.

Didn't catch it. It is operation stitch up mate for sure...

What did they say on the news?

So lets say we pay the fine and next season we make a big profit because of a major sponsorship deal can UEFA still look into our books?

Yes. UEFA will examine all teams who played in Europe every year to see if they meet FFPR. It is perfectly possible to be told you don't comply several years in succession. UEFA have already said that if teams continue to fail it, the punishments will get worse.

I watched it and did not regard it as a 'hatchet job' at all. The piece started with 'City are being punished for investing money', in the middle of the piece was a reference to the campus and regeneration work, and the report ended with Richard Scudamore saying, "I cannot sit here and say that City have done anything wrong".

In what way was it a 'hatchet job'?

Sorry I don't keep up with this stuff well. What exactly has happened? Are we not going to be able to strengthen the squad this summer?
No,we will strengthen 2 or 3 players coming in.

City want Messi , UEFA hit is with a fine, champions league squad and wage restrictions . Makes you wonder, gone from passing FFP to failing it big time.
We have been stitched up last minute as we were told we would pass only for half of our sponsorship deals to be taken away by our 'friends' at UEFA and it wouldn't surprise me if our old friend Fergie isn't behind it.

Usual shit. Words like wreckless spending thrown in.

Scudamore trod a fine line trying not to upset the sky 4 but said, city haven't actually done anything "wrong".

Scudamore's been one of our advocates in the past regarding FFP and the investment in the club, its infrastructure and the area.

I just wish he'd square up to Platini and plant the ****!!
