I watched it and did not regard it as a 'hatchet job' at all. The piece started with 'City are being punished for investing money', in the middle of the piece was a reference to the campus and regeneration work, and the report ended with Richard Scudamore saying, "I cannot sit here and say that City have done anything wrong".

In what way was it a 'hatchet job'?

Scudamore said that?

No, it was Freddie Star. And he said where's that bloody hamster gone.

Yes Scudamore said that.

Is that you Jim Royle?

Has someone stolen your candle?

I'm more than a bit surprised, that's pretty heavyweight backing.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

What I'd like to know is, who are the individuals who are looking at our finances and sponsorship deals and then deeming them to be unfair? Also if we can put any names to these people and see if they have any past or present affiliation to any clubs who are going to directly benefit from the sanctions that are imposed on us, ie. Gill ( Rag puppet)

So lets say we pay the fine and next season we make a big profit because of a major sponsorship deal can UEFA still look into our books?

Yes. UEFA will examine all teams who played in Europe every year to see if they meet FFPR. It is perfectly possible to be told you don't comply several years in succession. UEFA have already said that if teams continue to fail it, the punishments will get worse.

So Bayern Barcelona Madrid and Chelsea haven't any related sponsors then? It seems if we pay the fine next season if make a profit UEFA will just say that's related and also that one is related also! Corrupt to the core

Oh give it a rest FFS, so i am a bit pissed.

But honestly i don't give a toss about the Champions League. We have an incredible team, incredible training facilities being built, stadium expansion and everything to look forward to.

Let's just make sure we do it on Sunday.

Anyone just see that on the 10 o'clock news? Not quite a hatchet job but not far off.

Scudamore's been one of our advocates in the past regarding FFP and the investment in the club, its infrastructure and the area.

I just wish he'd square up to Platini and plant the ****!!

Scuadamore was always against FFP, he was against Premier League one too.

Needs to be spread as far as possible.
Very well spoken that man.

Quinny has summarised the entire situation very well. It absolutely sends the wrong message on so many levels when you punish a club under these circumstances.
