The PA have distributed a story saying no agreement was reached and City have until Monday to accept or reject the sanctions. So much for UEFA backing down as speculated (hoped) in this thread.

They were never going to back down. It would cause them too many problems in future years.

And vice verca

Fuck them lets give their cosy little cartel a major headache

It's a matter of principle

Re: City & FFP (continued)

It is a damn shame were all thinking about this rather than what could and should happen on Sunday.

Where you get a pic of me from?
Seriously, that's taken at the back of where I live. That house on the left belongs to my next-door-but-one-neighbour.
Freaky!

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Mark Ogden trying to piss on our chips as usual with an article titled: "Uefa sanctions threaten to rain on Manchester City’s parade as Premier League champions-elect face huge fine"

Re: City & FFP (continued)

I've just watched the Quinny interview, give that man a medal, fantastic stuff, yet so frustrating as its basic common sense.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

IMO we have to fight this all the way - appeal system and then European Courts - we have to make a stand now, if we let UEFA win a small victory now they may choose to take the piss further in the future.

The details are very sketchy on PSG I read they have only be fined £20 million but their backdated sponsorship deal totally takes the piss compared with Man Citys and are they facing the same CL squad restrictions as us?

Is there any transparency, for example do UEFA have to disclose what santions they agree with PSG so we can compare and be assured ALL clubs are being treated equally?

We need to take a very hard stance with UEFA now ... FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT, lawyers, private investigators, massive investment and effort required to blow FFP it can't be right in its current format drawn up to clearly leave clubs like Man Utd in massive debt. What would happen to Utd if the Glazers empire crumbles, I read they've had problems, theoritically United could be in major financial strife!!

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Sunday is massive and we have to leave Pellers to keeping the boys focussed, which he will.

In the meantime I think it's fair to say we are all agreed that City have been stitched up he
Over-riding problem is that we are badly outnumbered.

If we were not being singled out, why have PSG got a fine with no squad restrictions next season?

So dam angry. I hope we don't roll over. But then again with Bacon face as an ambassador for Eufa and Gill definitely fighting Wenger and Morine's corner, perhaps it is better to lose the battle and win the war ????

Re: City & FFP (continued)

The united angle is misguided IMHO. They are heavily debt leveraged but have a massive income to cover it and if they were ever put up for sale there would be no end of bidders. That is all good business.

As though, of course, are rich investors wishing to pump money into investments (which is where we are).

FFP is a total crock of shit

Re: City & FFP (continued)

So there is a real chance we have been wrong all along believing our Etihad couldn't be questioned then? If rumours are true.
