Think that UEFA and Platini have realised that the club and Sheik Mansour in particular will not accept a compromise deal that they have acted any way illegally. These extra days are just wriggle room as they've realised they've turned up at a gunfight armed with a knife. Even if we have to take this all the way we will get every penny back, everyone who has had a proper look at what HRH has done for the club and Manchester is laughing their arse off at this.

Unfortunately i have already heard for the last couple of years from posters in the know how we needn't worry about FFP, how we will pass, so as far as optimism is concerned you and no one else knows how this will pan out, they are after us and will do everything in their power to succeed so saying they will die on their arse is a guess and a baseless one at that

+10.People have been reassuring us for ages on here there will be no problem, now there is.It is such a new concept that nobody will know if it would be blown out of the water in court until somebody challenges it,i know that player and his agent are at the moment.

Even journalists who aren't exactly friendly to us to say the least agree it is a travesty of justice and rules invented to stall ours and PSG's progress and protect the cartel.Dicks like Wenger would support it,his club and the rest have the most to gain from it.

If it goes to court surely anyone with half a brain must see it for what it is and rule against it,well you would hope so!

so do we acknowledge uefa's 'right' to arbitrarily make up new rules to protect their favourites by paying up and setting the precedent which condemns us and everyone else to more of the same moving forward?

or do we fight the cartel (as yes we can afford to) on behalf of all clubs who would like the chance of the same opportunity as us one fine day but would be denied it it by uefa if their cartel gets their way and restricts any future opportunities for the vast majority of football clubs unless they can afford to take on and service (or try to) MASSIVE debts of course? In UEFA-world debt is good apparently

it is in footballs interests overall that we deny the biased cunts and fight them all the way

I actually think that fighting this all the way and exposing the G14 and UEFA for the bent bastards that they are will ultimately
be the making of the club in terms of global popularity. Currently we get a shit press but the signs are this is slowly turning around.
A court case would get global coverage and we would be seen as the good guys when all the facts come out. Far from being the
evil empire that's ruining football we will be seen as standing up for the rights of the "little guy".

Re: City & FFP (continued)

I just hope we do the sensible thing and tell them to fuck off. It would pain me a great deal if we paid them even one penny. I want to see this cnuts taken to court and sued for libel.

And aside from the legal side of it that is the stance we should fight it from.''Who are UEFA to deny every club their dream that they too could dine at the top table?''

Exactly. Now is the time to get the supporters of Newcastle, Sunderland, Villa & Everton plus their equivalents across Europe
on our side. Germany is becoming a one club league FFS. The breakaway European Super League that the G14 demanded is
slowly becoming a reality in all but name.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

What I want someone of moderate intelligence to explain to me is how PSG have a sponsorship deal, that has been halved, of about £100 million per year and UEFA consider that 'fair market value' for the ground alone, now PSG play in Ligue1 which has the 7th highest average attendance in Europe, their biggest game last couple of years was against Lyon and was watched on TV in 7 different countries. PSG themselves have an average gate around 10% lower than the blues.
City on the other hand have been told that their £35 million sponsorship for shirt, stadium and training ground is NOT fair market value. City play in the EPL which has the highest average attendance in Europe, their biggest games in 2012 was QPR match and was transmitted to over 200 countries worldwide and had a TV viewing audience of over 500million... the EPL having yearly viewing figures of over 4 BILLION.

If city have that much more exposure than PSG and we have average gates 10% higher than PSG then surely £35 million is grossly UNDERvalued.

EXPLAIN????

Unfortunately, most fans of other clubs have had their bitterness and jealousy encouraged and fed by the rag loving media for the last few years and they would like nothing more than to see us fall flat on our faces.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Would it not be cheaper to have Platini taken out, floating in the Seine in a suitcase with an orange in his mouth, a list in his back pocket of certain clubs bunging him large amounts of money

Some Somalian would only charge 500 euro

That is true to an extent,i am suprised that some of the more savvy fans, like Everton, didn't kick up merry hell when Kenwright voted for the premier league version.Look at the season they have just had but they STILL finished outside the top four and they STILL didn't win a trophy. Two of their best players are loan players and Barkley will soon be sold to the highest bidder.Meanwhile the old luvvie can weep in the stands when they turn over one of the big boys, safe in the knowledge that he is immovable and doesn't have to spend a penny,he can't you see, fair play won't allow it.What about selling then?No point, fair play won't allow an investor to spend more than they earn, with an outdated Goodison Park that will never change. They have sleepwalked into the land of mid table/Europa league spot at best, unbelievable they all allowed it to happen!

Re: City & FFP (continued)

What is sad about all this is that the dream factor has been taken away from fans of many great clubs of yesteryear.

The likes of Burnley, Preston, Blackburn, Wolves, Sheffield Wednesday to name but a few. Some of them are the founder members of English football.

Aston Villa have won the European Cup, so have Nottingham Forest. That won't happen again with FFP in place, no matter what UEFA say.

I hope we win the League and if necessary take these wankers on.
