City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

Chelsea were a fucking joke of a club in the 80's and 90's with shit crowds as low as 10,000 at one point.

You would think they have always had some kind of right to be classed as a top club when in fact they have been pretty gash for most of the last 40 years until Abramovitch came along.

But it was mainly to curb debt. When we came along and United and the two Spanish clubs were mired in debt, the focus suddenly changed. If your objective really is financial self-sustainability then you have to outlaw leveraged buyouts and excessive debt. This is what the NFL does.

He who is without sin shall cast the first stone. Now fuck off maureen, wenger, ayre etc

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

put it this way .....

... if we were in trouble under FFP .... would be be able to afford a £35m in the january window along with the £70m spent in the summer ... even if its 2-3 years backdated, we'd have to post profits of £70m (£90m-£120m gained) in those 2 years.

i think the fact we hardly bought last season was to qualify for the FFP vand we paid the price ... maybe we don't care this season .... who knows ....

... its too complicated for me ...... only thing i learnt in maths was 5318008.

This I find surprising, as I held a deep suspicion that these rules were introduced out of fear of what the Arab nations could do to the 'elite' of Europe.

PSG werent worried ... they had Platini's blessing no doubt.

My main annoyance about FFP is it is so obviously aimed at us but you can't prove it. When Chelsea got taken over and spunked the cash and won the league x number of times nothing was said. The minute we did it's suddenly a disgrace that must be stopped by bringing in new laws which not only stop us but any other small club from being bought and invested in. I can't wait for it to fail to shut every single person who says we "ruined football" when they'd been at it for years themselves.
This is 110% true, they hate us with a passion.

The impression I get is that they just don't give a shit. Can't imagine why ;-)

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

Got a feeling that whoever finishes 5th this season will go all out to put pressure on UEFA to get us kicked out.
Although I guess they will be pissing in the wind.

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

let's spend £400m in the summer on Ronaldo, Messi and Neymar ... then see if UEFA have the balls to ban us.

player's arent arsed about Champions League ... only money ... Juan Mata proved that!

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

What I don't get is mourinho bitching but Chelsea lost 47mill this year not like they are blowing the doors off making ffp lol

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

If FFP has a natural downfall, as opposed to a legal one, it'll be because the industry, some years from now, realises it's proposed solution to MCFC has only served to solidify the rise and establishment of that dynasty. If/ when they realise that the old supertanker cash cows can't out-maneuvre City on or off the pitch, FFP stops any other party attempting to emulate the City model (which can be shown to clearly differ even from the likes of Chelsea). FFP could die because the broadcast component of the industry demands the release of another investor into a non G14 side, as the only realistic threat to the MCFC revolution that's starting to dangerously monopolise European and English competition.

All very hypothetical, of course, but it's fine to posit a worst case scenario for the power brokers behind FFP...

Not going to lie but some of the posts on here might as well look like this.

我是一個小茶壺,矮矮胖胖,這裡是我的把手,這裡是我的噴嘴,小費給我,然後讓我傾吐.

It's great that we have so many smart posters on bluemoon.

I haven't got a fucking clue :)

There was a lot of negative press towards Abramovich's extreme investment from 2003-2006. It's no surprise that Chelsea Football Club developed the nickname "Chelski" during that period.

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

Man Utd debt £400m
Man City debt. £00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Makes ffp a farse
