Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

It's just a new rule that says if we were punished and we argued for a lesser punishment then another affected club could argue for the original punishment to stick.

No clubs have ganged up on us. There's no point in getting angry at them. The media is shit stirring and there is no need to fall for it.

Too late I guess and I said I was going to bed too. :-)

Where do they start to imply those so called rules just baffles me .

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

This is just the start of the dirty tricks from our bitter rivals. Mourinho always operates like this. It is clear this has been leaked to try and de-stabilise us before Monday's match. The little Englander Daily Mail is driven by its xenophobic hatred for our owners. As far as the Mail is concerned we have the wrong sort of owners. It is essentially racism.

Imagine UEFA's embarrassment when they ban this years winners/runners up/semi finalist from next years competition, only a small lack of credibility when they let PSG in hey ?

PMSL at this nonsense of an attempt to undermine us. I'm sure City have it more than covered.

Strange how this is the main news on the day yoonited lose their 8th game (out of 24 - only 33% of their games) of the league season.

F**k off britsh media, you're no longer in charge.

You do realise we have Barca, right?

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

One of three things would happen.

1) We fight it in court and win.
2) Our owners say fuck it and splash the cash on every single good player out there offering them silly wages to make up for no CL thus making the CL a less attractive competition as the star players wouldn't be there.
3) An alternative European competition is made which would have us, PSG, Chelsea and any other club sick of these rules.

Either way FFP will only end is failure and our owners are not the sort of people you want as an enemy.

Considering the FFP rules were drafted by the Man United chief after the City takeover and United were in crippling debt over the Glazer's takeover ...... no point getting angry?

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

I'd be interested to hear why this doesn't constitute a cartel agreement when revenue is linked to participation in UEFA competitions.

The wording from the papers actually states two words that some people have missed ,"could" and "may" !!

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

Allowing clubs to challenge other clubs on whether they meet a myriad of financial rules that may or may not contravene EU law is borderline insanity. Club A challenges Club B, Club B is pissed and challenges Club C and so on. Every club will have a battalion of lawyers and accountants going through each others books and dragging each other to court to query everything from RM's alleged State AID, unfair TV practices in Spain, Liverpool's kit deal with Warrior and their links to John Henry and every single commercial deal ManU has done now and in the future. It won't even matter if every deal is kosher you just drag into court anyway and see if anything crawls out...

CL and Europa League placements will go to the teams with the deepest pockets and best legal teams. You will have CL matches being played with an asterix after every result '*subject to legal appeal'. As soon as one club fires that gun it will be a fucking arms war fought out in court. Its beyond stupid. Stupid is shaking its head at this level of stupidity.

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

The wise arse who came up with idea of playing level field is the most stupid short sighted person .FFp is a mess.

PSG are protected by UEFA's backpocket and Chelsea and a few other pre-City era have made the G-14 into a G-20 ... so all those would stick to UEFA.

It would be everyone else in europe that will now never be able to grow because of the FFP limits imposed by them.

Boycott UEFA and join UAEFA i say lol

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

PL clubs do business in the US.
Some of them are registered in the US.
UEFA does business in the US.
American players play in the PL.
American TV have had and have deals with the PL and UEFA.

etc. etc.

Minimum contacts + standing + long arm statute + relevant substantive state statute + amount in controversy = dragging UEFA into a federal district court. Doing business in the US involves implicit and explicit consent to jurisdiction...I am dying to see someone in Europe that opposes FFP take the issue to a US attorney for counsel and see if they can get UEFA into Federal court.

Totally agree. The Mail opposes just about all forms of immigration into this country despite the benefits to the economy having been proven to
outweigh the costs. I think that they only recently stopped sporting Hitler.

Read the article. In this new instance nobody has ganged up on us. I'm not defending FFP I'm saying the press are trying to start a he said she said fight when nothing has happened.

Get angry at the press sure but the amended rule is for clubs who have been punished and entered into a plea bargain. If we haven't been punished or entered into a plea bargain how can we be angry about the complaints of clubs who have nothing to complain about?

Re: "City face Euro Expulsion"

UEFA's FFPR lost any business credibility it might have hoped for by completely ignoring high levels of long-term debt, with all the dire consequences that can have for any commercial operation.

The article is just hysterical nonsense, as oakie says it's all "could" and "may", wishful thinking on the rampage.
