I'm hearing rumours that the head of the UEFA panel has passed away meaning charges are on hold? Can anyone confirm this or let me know if they've heard it too...

Well he's definitely dead, don't know if the show goes on or not though.

PB: So deciding the actual scale of penalties at the point when FFP is evaluated is fair?

If I understand you correctly, no and I don't think I've ever implied that.

A scale of penalties should be clear beforehand. As in the justice system, there should be a tariff, with guidance as to how that could applied either more leniently or more harshly, depending on circumstances.

I believe that's one of the key points we could challenge at CAS.

PB: I was being ironic.

If City have failed by a small margin to get the 80 million(ish) in Pre June 2010 contracts excluded then they would have structured the mancini severance package differently and easily complied (or one of a million other things).
Then again the CFCB could driving through their own rules like a Bull in a China Shop and PWC could have indeed invented a whole new meaning for Related Party.

Either way, that is why City "keeping their enemy close" has been so vital and the minuted meetings between City and UEFA (and actions on both organisations) is so critical to the outcome of this process prior to submittal of any "punishment" to the CFCB, CAS and possibly eventually a court of law.
