All I said that was he was corrupt - he oversaw a Belgian bank to bankruptcy with a multi billion debt.

And he fell down the stairs, so he obviously wasnt looking.

And he was definitely fat.

I did make up the twat bit though. Maybe he was nice to his mum.

He was also responsible for withdrawing the Belgian troops from Rwanda allowing the 1994 genocide that took the lives of 800,000 Tutsis

Wow. Didn't know that. So I should have said genocide facilitator as well.

Look like he got off lightly with me just calling him a stupid, fat, corrupt financial twat.

Enough of this now please

Yes, the Belgians aborted their peacekeeping mission after they lost 10 soldiers, and the rest is tragedy. He will have a lot to answer for when he meets the lord.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

The more I read this thread the more I feel completely dumb when it comes to accounting. Really should have listened in my Business Studies class.

Not much respect on here for someone who's passed away.
Agreed.

"In the light and aftermath of this most grievous and distressing of human catastrophes, the only true humanist, global, organic and non-ozone depleting thing to do is to scrap, shelve, do-away with and terminate FFP entirely; firstly as a mark of respect, love, admiration and gratitude for his years of peerless sacrifice and love for our collective humanity, and secondly showing unswerving unwavering solidarity during this distressingly trying distressing time with his dreadful grieving whomevers and their private publically available sustainable non-gmo pink teddy bear on the railings book of anti-LGBT vivisection & condolences. Our thoughts about prayers and the sweet flowers and dancing fairies in moonlit dewy meadows go out in a most gratifyingly profound and socialized emotional way this saddest of all nights in this our common home and collective property.

I doubt UEFA will do the decent thing though. Disgraceful.

I've never understood this idea that you've suddenly got to be nice about someone because they died. Fair enough, you might hold your tongue in front of their family out of respect, but this automatic respect for the dead is exactly what caused the Jimmy Savile debacle at the BBC. It's not as if his family are going to be reading this.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Was discussing the sale of IP with a colleague who quite remarkably is in Arsenal fan who doesn't agree with FFP.

He was wondering if the reason we can't announce one of the parties involved because it has something to do with a joint venture with Nike and the Yankees.

He did say that whoever it is he expects it to be big in terms of both value and impact.
