City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

As with the referees this past week and FFP rearing its head again, the bias, favouritism and possible corruption isnt even subtle anymore.

Heard tail end of something on the radio that basically said that G14 are pushing eufa to bring in new rules to peg back the likes of us ‘or they will form there own closed league’.

Akin to the spoilt boy taking his ball home then?

Twas ever thus marcus.

Stinking old boys club run by hangers on and sucking the very life out of the game.
I detest politics in all forms but when it involves my biggest passion it tips me over the edge.

I once started a thread on here when I was on a train with that smarmy twat Gill requesting what I should ask him.
I should have listened to the sound advice given and kicked the twat right in the bollocks.

Ha you shoulda pal.

Hope youre well.

I think initially they would try and be discreet in there bias but now they dont care who knows it now. If leagues were set up just to protect the teams who are in the gang id have to think about still spending my hard earned on a clearly corrupt game

Heard that - it was on H&J on talkshit.
They were talking about the related party deals with PSG and the Qatari tourist board and how they are looking to re-evaluate them to what the crooked bastards at uefa think is fair market value.
They mentioned City in this context, but what any of that has to do with us is anyone’s guess.

So that's Gill and Woodward, plotting from the inside.

I always liked the idea of money for transfer fees over a certain amount coming with a tax to go into a central pool, to be delivered for the benefit of the game?

Instead of trying to stop clubs spending, simply add a sliding tax scale on the amounts - over £50m - ten per cent on top goes into UEFA central pot - over £100m - 20 per cent into the pot

Between £25m-£50m - five per cent. That will keep a lid on a lot.

Wouldn’t trust UEFA with a thrupny bit mate.

That aside, how would you envisage UEFA using this money to ‘deliver for the benefit of the game’?

Hold on minute, so basically if a club strikes a deal with a sponsor and UEFA dont like it. They will just re-evaluate that deal and then say ‘nope, sorry it isn’t worth said million pounds/euro’s per year.....we value it at this, so thats what it is’

This is just as corrupt as anything they are trying to investigate. So its alright then for a club to be bankrolled by debt and continue to function on this debt. I guess so when certain people who infest uefa are associated with such a club

Hear the same shite every few years, which of these so called ‘elite’ clubs fancies coming bottom? Who thinks the fans of let’s say Arsenal, will be happy finishing bottom? They can’t cope with being 6th, same for the Milan clubs, Rags, Dippers. It’ll never happen imo, but if it did it’d die a death quickly as those clubs who have the most fickle of fans would all jack it in.

But our revenue is up there with the best now isn't it, so FFP is not a major obstacle to us anymore, compared to other clubs?

So you're telling me, a regulatory body is composed of the very members it is mandated to regulate?

I'm a little speechless.

That thought crossed my mind too.

UEFA getting its grubby hands on even more money doesn't sound like it would benefit the game , but certainly be tempting for even more of their corrupt officials to squirrel away in tax havens.
