City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Re: City & FFP (continued)

I expect the negotiations will continue until either :-

1. Uefa change their stance against us (accept the IP sales are fair value).
2. We are able to reveal who bought the image rights.

The latter could be months away so I certainly don't expect anything for some time.

If we get shafted, then just bloody boycott the CL matches. I for one can't be arsed with these any more.

Weighted Draw
Crooked Organisation
Incompetent Referees

In short, we are pissing in the wind thinking we could ever win it and every game we play sees the same old media pundits waffle the same old rhetoric.

I'd play the bloody U18's at the new academy stadium to take on Europe's best. ITV and Sky would soon get the message as their viewing figures plummeted as we rightly treated this competition and organisation with the contempt it warrants.

Also, they dont sell beer at matches. Im up for the boycott.

Yet another fine sign of UEFA hypocrisy : refusing to sell the products of their main sponsor

Can anyone give a theoretical example of someone who may have bought the intellectual property rights, but we wouldn't be able to say who they are?

A European Team?
An English team being lined up as part of the proposed "B" ! Team rules?
A Team that hasn't started yet in a developing (in football terms) nation?
It was player image rights and we wouldn't sell those to another club. It has to be a commercial organisation which is planning to use them and, as I said on page 659, my suspicion based on waht Samuel hinted at (and it really is a pure guess) is that it's something to do with the leisure attraction on the collar site.

It could be confidential as we could have signed contracts with them but are waiting for other negotiations, possibly with other partners or the council, to be concluded before we publicly announce anything. Anything that's ahead of the game you would want to keep confidential as long as you could.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/how-are-bigspending-manchester-city-set-to-pass-uefas-financial-fair-play-rules-9097609.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/foot ... 97609.html</a>

I think both image rights and intellectual property rights are being sold separately.
IP rights could be a start-up package sold to teams that are part of or will become part of City Football Group.

You are probably right

As has been said before, the fans may feel like this but the players don't. If we did this you can expect at least half a dozen transfer requests within the week, we won't be able to bring in top class replacements, and then it's hello mid-table mediocrity for the next decade at least.

So your saying the scum are fucked for transfers this season?

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Can anyone answer these for me.
1. Who leaked the original 50 mil fine plus a reduction in cl players
2. If a reduction is enforced then surely the homegrown quota has to be reduced on a like for like ratio
3 if we cannot sort anything out with uefa, will it go straight to the cas

1. Lequipe leaked alleged psg sanctions, english media presumed we were getting the same.
2. We don't even know if we're going to have a squad restriction but if we do there's no reason for or against.
3. First the adjudicatory chamber, then CAS, then presumably the ECJ if that doesn't work.
