City fined £35,000 for anti-doping admin error

Is it possible that the player or players were the ones who disregarded their appointment ?
Nice and easy to blame admin rather than an individual. May in fact suit City for this to be the case rather than have potential action being taken against an individual player.

No chance. If it was one of our players it would have suited Gill et al down to the ground after the camel gob issue. It already sounds a trumped up charge that only City have committed.. they'd love to ban one or two of our players.

Maybe so but are the club likely to admit that ?
Surely it suits the Club to say their admin mistake caused the mixup for exactly the reason you mention regarding our friend Mr Gill.

I don't give a flying f*ck - I have to put up with so much misinformed bollocks from fans of other clubs already, that it's like water off a duck's back!

That thought crossed my mind too, it could easily be three individuals that weren't at home when the form said they would be, it's not unreasonable to think that could happen 3 times in 12 months.

If it was individual players not at home the players would have been charged as it's their responsibility once they're off club premises. It's seems pretty clear that the issue was the club not informing the FA about changes to training times.

Especially if we are lead to believe that this is now the third occasion this has happened. It shouldn`t just stop with the office junior, but bigger fry within the organisation.
This 'third' thing is interesting, I wonder if we knew about any transgression until there were three?

It's feasible that it happened with the same player over a short period and we weren't informed individually so couldn't put proceedures in place as we didn't know of a problem?

Has here been any discussion on TalkShite yet? If this is a serious matter then I'd expect Durham & company to be going on the attack for the full show. If it's only worthy of a passing mention then it's nothing serious, just some poor clerical worker being the guilty party and possibly paying for it with his or her job.

It was reported that it has to be at least 5 players on three different occasions. So it's not the odd player being unfindable, it's large numbers of players at the same time.

There's apparently a system to allow the info to be uploaded on the day if things change.
