City Football Group | Secure $650m loan facility for infrastructure projects (p 54)

If sheikh mansour decided to sell up (unlikely I know), would silver Lake be a possible buyer and would they likely be good owners or is their business model not suited to being good majority owners?

Not sure if its mentioned anywhere or if anybody is interested but Silver Lake are in advanced stages of aquiring A League.

CFG won't be taking a minority stake in Spartak Moscow. The Russian-language tweet that Russian Football News quotes says that the due diligence (or "strategic evaluation", as they put it) was unsatisfactory to CFG, while the full story to which there's a link suggests that poor sporting results also played a part in the decision. Spartak are currently 9th out of 16 teams in the Russian league, with 19 points from 14 games, trailing 11 points behind leaders Zenit.

This seems to have been a good choice in hindsight!

Why did we take 650mil debt and will NYCFC get a new proper stadium now that they are champions of USA?

We didn't take £650m of debt, we took a loan facility potentially for a similar figure to the cost of a new stadium in USA. I'm not sure why being champions would make a difference though.

Given the politics in planning in NYC I'll be surprised if they get a stadium in any of the five boroughs. The proposed development near Yankee Stadium looked great with the US version of social/low cost housing but fell apart over a car park!!

Alternative site in the South Bronx on the river from Rafael Vinoly Architects built over railway tracks

and that didn't happen either. Local interest stops everything unless they get a back hander, sorry incentive
