City Football Group | Secure $650m loan facility for infrastructure projects (p 54)

Given the politics in planning in NYC I'll be surprised if they get a stadium in any of the five boroughs. The proposed development near Yankee Stadium looked great with the US version of social/low cost housing but fell apart over a car park!!

and that didn't happen either. Local interest stops everything unless they get a back hander, sorry incentive
My company does a lot of work in the NY area and yes, its very very hard to get developments approved.......unless.....

It is going to end up in Buffalo, still New York, and a City. Plus it is a lot cheaper there.

I expect there will be a Girona type deal to avoid any potential ownership clash in Euro comps. CFG would have to own less than 50% according to current UEFA regs.
Maybe, that’s if they ever make it there. Girona are nowhere near a european spot and i doubt NAC Breda would make it to one either

We own Lommel in Belgium too. Think the assumption with that, and possibly with this (if true) would be that it is unlikely we would fund them to the level where they are likely to qualify for Europe.

Lommel are second bottom in the 2nd tier, and Breda are midtable in the 2nd tier. Don't think we need to be worried about European comps at this stage.
