City games allegedly fixed

Very rarely do United or Liverpool fans lament the referee which is strange....

Yeah that it really odd. Is it just one of those many co-incidences?
What amazes me is that no one in the media has spotted this very obvious fact.
For those that care to look there are so many co-incidences that suggest that results are being manipulated but for some reason no one wants to to investigate it and so it will continue to go on.
Just wish those that know would email me tomorrow's score and the name of the first scorer. It is very
likely somebody already knows.

Think that's a bit disingenuous. Judging by other forums, all clubs have some fans who are convinced that certain refs are against them.

Ric unfortunateley your argument carries no weight. Of course fans of other clubs moan about refs that has always been part and parcel of the game and always will be.
It does not prove in any way that we do not get treated even worse by refs than other clubs.
You go to games and yet you still doubt we get worse treatment from refs than other clubs, particularly the rags, really?
I would like someone to produce evidence that any other club has had worse treatment from refs than we have had over the last 5 seasons, or to make it easier just this season. The odd decision in our favour does not negate all the all to frequent bad decisions.

Producing evidence that other clubs suffer from poor decisions as much as we do is on the people that think they don't, as they are the ones that think it is specific to certain clubs.

Personally, I don't really think that referees are any poorer than they have been at any other point, it's more that every single flashpoint in a game is overanalysed. Some of it can be down to unconscious bias towards certain players or situations (normally towards the home team), others just bad decisions. A big part of me would prefer we didn't have the over saturated football analysis of every single moment in every game. it doesn't just impact what people think about referees, it's across the whole thing - everything gets overblown.

Yes of course.

I agree, though in most games I think 90% would win the game, the biggest issue is (hopefully was) our finishing. The Spurs 4-1 defeat, had we stuck the ball in the net enough times when we had the chances, the offside goals would have been irrelevant (or even not happened), and the game would have been over, the first 30 minutes of that game was the best we played all that season, but we didn't capitalise with goals.

Ok at least you've admitted the Chelsea game would have been easier if the referee hadn't dicked us, so that ones not totally down to our players inadequate finishing.

If you move onto the Spurs game, we were 1-0 up away from home, we had silenced the crowd and we're playing against a team leaving huge gaps for us to exploit on the break. We were defending superbly when we're suddenly back to 1-1 at half time because the linesman/referee failed to notice a 5 yard offside call and through absolutely no fault of our own.

Spurs are now on the front foot and the crowd are behind them and our players are pissed off and frustrated because all their efforts to put us in the lead are dicked all over because of a cheating linesman/referee.

Surely you'll agree that it's not just solely down to finishing? Why do we only get 10 minutes to score a second goal? Other teams would get another 65 minutes in that game, that makes the game so much more difficult wouldn't you agree?

Don't know anything about it to be honest, so couldn't say if it's true or not. Pretty sure City, like most clubs, complain about certain referees from time to time though which is why you don't see them ref our games for relatively long spells.

As politically correct an answer as anyone could give, it's like me saying I don't know what the inside of a KFC looks like, absolute bollocks but I know why you have to say it.

Not had chance to read the whole thread, but can't help but feel that far too much credibility is being given to a blog that is seemingly the ramblings of a madman. Not that I think there's no corruption in football, as I'm sure there is, but that list seems incredibly arbitrary to me.

@Prestwich_Blue has drunk the Kool Aid on this one imo, put far too much credence in this blog. There's talk of a 'dossier' but zero evidence to back it up.

To say the Bayern 3-2 game was fixed is utterly unbelievable, certainly if we talk about fixing the result rather than say the number of yellow cards.who would the main protagonists have been to pull off such a thing? Managers? Players? All in on it? Come on ffs

I think we undoubtedly get worse treatment from referees than certain other clubs. I don't think it's part of a deliberate match fixing conspiracy though.
