City games allegedly fixed

As has been pointed out on here numerous times not one Premier league ref 'supports' any of the top teams which is odd to say the least don't you think. I am definitely in the 'Leicester's title was fixed' camp. Journeymen players who suddenly become world beaters overnight, who start running quicker than ever, suffering less injuries etc etc. Funny how overnight they have gone back to what they all were. Vardy scored 16 goals in 41 games in the season Leicester were promoted then scored five in 36 in the premier. He then suddenly scores 24 in 38 when they won the league. Following season 16 again in 48 games! In five season on the Championship and Premier he has scored 66 goals in 192 games (includes cup games) which is roughly 1 in 3 yet the season they won the league his scoring rate was double that! Coincidence, one hit wonder or something more sinister?

Its the beauty of this forum. One minute its fixed so Leicester win the league and then in the next breath its the influence/fixed by the top four cartel clubs. Clearly liverpool, United, Arsenal, Chelsea did not fancy winning the league that year.

And we're the ones who are idiots and blinkered to whats happening. Unbelievable.

You only need to look at Yaya in 13/14 to find anomalous scoring records. To save you looking it up, his career record is roughly 1 in 6. For city it's a shade better than 1 in 4. In 13/14 he scored 24 in 49 appearances of which he scored 20 in 35 league games. Following season 1 in 3, then back to 1 in six. I'd put it down to an outrageously good season rather than something more sinister, exactly the same as Vardy....

It's called regression to the mean.

Wasn't there fitness coach (can't think of his name) at the time linked to a few athletes (including Mo Farrah) who have provided inconclusive drug tests seemingly focused around blood doping. He's disappeared from the scene, Leicester have gone back to being shit, Mo Farrah has changed his running discipline and I'm sure there was a top cyclist who disappeared off the radar extremely quickly around the same time. It certainly seemed a strange coincidence all his athletes boomed around a similar stage and then dropped back to their average run of the mill careers.

That would all be relevant to Eds argument if it was not for the fact the year they won the league the distance the team ran was only 7th highest in the league. Also using Vardy as an example the distance he covered and average sprints increased the following season the year Leicester struggled. Hardly supports the argument Leicester were some superhuman side the year they won the league.

Leicester's achievements should be recognised for what they were a phenomemal achievement and a wonderful footballing story.
