whats the problem with everyone i have just rang up now and booked all my seats no problems all in our usual seats

Due to the high volume of calls we are experiencing there may be a delay in your call being answered. There are also problems with websales due to high internet activity. If you are trying to purchase tickets for Hamburg then please keep trying as the reduced rate is for 5 days. Seasoncard holders please be advised your seats are reserved until close of business on Sunday.

We all don't have season cards Blue........but i thought having made it to Schalke and Copenhagen and having 1200 points on my Citycard......that i might have scraped it!

It's not about that. Id much rather that it sold out. Im just saying that all seasoncard holders, accesscard etc should have had first refusal today.

Its not fair that some fans will have to watch at home whilst others (who haven't been all season) will be at the game. City should have been prepared.

They could easily have let the tickets go on open sale to one day fans on Monday - If you didn't have a City card of any kind prior to today there is no way you should have been able to buy a ticket today.

You can see why so many people are pissed off? I know that there's going to be loads in the same boat as me. I phoned from 8 this morning and went to the Arndale in my lunch but couldn't wait there forever. Went back at 5 after work and the tickets had been suspended. Joke
Everyone seems to be saying that none seasoncard tickets have sold out.

Is this assumption or fact? The official statement on the web-site says they have been suspended in the light of exceptional demand, or words to that effect. If they ahd sold out, they would have said?

I find it hard to believe that City have managed to approx 15k tickets in half a day, plus thousands of seasoncard seats.

I booked in the hospitality as I couldnt get through on the phone or the website. The guy told me that we would definately have sold out (barring season ticket holders) by 3pm.

So all none season ticket card seats have been sold today. First come, first to get through on the phone and internet, first served. No doubt ticket touts and fans from Hamburg and other clubs will have bought tickets ready to sell on at the expense of genuine City fans.

What about the fans who have attended all the home UEFA Cup games and have the loyalty points? Many of those City fans will miss out, while those that have bought tickets today and couldn't be bothered or don't support the club at all, now have tickets. I'm sorry, regardless of the gesture, City and Cook have f***ed up again.

The criteria should have been.

Fans attending UEFA cup games with UEFA Cup loyalty points first.
Non attending season ticket holders second.
Non attending match card holders third.
any left over open sale.

You've got this wrong mate...Ifyou log-in online you need to clickon the link at the top reading SEASON CARD RESERVATION

2 lads walked past me in the queue with wads of tickets in their hands they should have put al imit on the number of tickets to each individual

Also were pensioners £1.00 there were loads of them in the queue and clearly a lot of them have never been near COMS one was looking at the pitch and stands and asked me if he would be able to sit anywhere!

finally one fans ticket is going to cost a bit more than £5.00 he managed to reverse into a tree on his way out-nice dint in his car

The more i hear about this the more i think the club have made a fucking huge fuck up.

People walking pass with "wads" of tickets. Fucking embarrassing.

Schalke through their website :-)...........And Copenhagen made it to general sale......been to all the home Uefa games.........it's a proper kick in the gonads to lose out this way. Christ sake how can someone who hardly goes get a seat before folk that make the effort week in week out???

We only got 26,000 at £15 a ticket and they effectively admitted at the Fans Forum that they made a huge cock-up by putting the price up for the Aalborg game. They'd made a mistake so they put prices down to £5 and have been over-whelmed.

In hindsight, it would have been fairer to allow until Sunday for Citycard holders to buy the available seats and ST holders to claim theirs, then for a couple of days carry on charging £5 but throw it open to Access Card holders. Then put them on general sale at £10.

The other mistake was allowing people to buy 6 each - should have been no more than 4. I'd be really miffed if I was a Citycard holder and couldn't get a seat for our biggest game in many years. I think they will do it differently next time (and hopefully there will be many more games like this one over the next few years).

But I'm sure they wanted a full stadium above anything else. I bet the owners were watching in Abu Dhabi and couldn't believe the sparse crowd. Let's give the club some credit for taking some positive action, even if some of it hasn't been thought through particularly well. Wardle & Mackintosh would not have done what ADUG & Cook did. As an accountant, Mackintosh would rather have had 23,000 at £20 a ticket than 47,000 at £5 a ticket.

I also bet that Cook will say publicly that the club could have done things better in hindsight. We are moving forward.

Got to agree with some. The first tickets should of gone to CC holders and fans that have been to the rest of UEFA games. I got mine this morning, only cause I'm off sick. The TO should have restricted numbers. Putting them on open sale the way they have is a joke and may turn round and bite, if turns out to be true that other fans have been buying.
