City Have F***ED Up Yet Again Haven't They!!!!!!!

Look I agree Citycard holders should have had a few days to get theres before they went on open sale, but the club didnt know there would be such high demand after the earlier rounds. They could of sold over 100,000 tickets for this one at £5 a ticket, so there would of been alot of people who missed out anyway.

If nothing else it has been a sucessfull marketing ploy. They know (the club) that city have a hugh fanbase get the price right and they will come.

Exactly.

I'm sure there are plenty of City Card and Access Card holders who will probably miss out on the game because ST holders have brought mates who are 'Lapsed' (as someone said the other day on here). And lets say the atmosphere is as good as we believe it will be and hopefully we get a result, then these people will get the hook - therefore more chance of every home game being a sell out.

The club maybe should of done it better, but the fact is this - every season ticket holder that wants to go to the game, will go to the game. Now, we know not all the season ticket holders have been going to the Uefa matches - but a large proportion of these are probably those who still stuck to the club in the darker days of 2 years ago, so although you could argue they weren't bothered about the earlier rounds, they've still had the loyalty to have a season ticket.

Also, for people at home watching it on the telly who are a neutral - when they see a full stadium and hopefully a good result and atmosphere from our part it will get them interested. I've said this a few times - how many fans do you think Liverpool must get from ITV saying 'another emotional night at Anfield'? Those who work at City NEED to get the interest levels raised if we are to become a dominant force.

I'm not a fan of globalisation, but you cannot stop it. We've just got to go along with it.

went to com with the lad after about an hour get to kiosk with membership cards and cash. i ask to purchse one ticket per card , i get told i cant sit together with the lads and that they have sold 17000first thing to season cards, i ask him can i get tickets he leaves for a while then returns with a NO MATE and fills out a form with card details . so now having been to all the home cup games i tell the lads at least its on tele how goods that . i know come monday there wont be any tickets left, just hope that all the tickets sold was on the basis of one access card ONE FCUKING TICKET i just this is not the case cause if some scrote trys selling tickets outside for more money i mite smack the shite , one pissed of blue CTID

It's not about that. Id much rather that it sold out. Im just saying that all seasoncard holders, accesscard etc should have had first refusal today.

Its not fair that some fans will have to watch at home whilst others (who haven't been all season) will be at the game. City should have been prepared.

They could easily have let the tickets go on open sale to one day fans on Monday - If you didn't have a City card of any kind prior to today there is no way you should have been able to buy a ticket today.

You can see why so many people are pissed off? I know that there's going to be loads in the same boat as me. I phoned from 8 this morning and went to the Arndale in my lunch but couldn't wait there forever. Went back at 5 after work and the tickets had been suspended. Joke
Everyone seems to be saying that none seasoncard tickets have sold out.

Is this assumption or fact? The official statement on the web-site says they have been suspended in the light of exceptional demand, or words to that effect. If they ahd sold out, they would have said?

I find it hard to believe that City have managed to approx 15k tickets in half a day, plus thousands of seasoncard seats.

FACT
Tried getting my daughter a seat using the Web ...... Sold Out ..... She's been to quite a few games this year including UEFA home games.

It should go on Loyalty points hence the name!

If someone has had a season ticket for 10 years but is working away this year and not renewed surely he has more right to a ticket than someone who has been to a few euro games this season.

So all none season ticket card seats have been sold today. First come, first to get through on the phone and internet, first served. No doubt ticket touts and fans from Hamburg and other clubs will have bought tickets ready to sell on at the expense of genuine City fans.

What about the fans who have attended all the home UEFA Cup games and have the loyalty points? Many of those City fans will miss out, while those that have bought tickets today and couldn't be bothered or don't support the club at all, now have tickets. I'm sorry, regardless of the gesture, City and Cook have f***ed up again.

The criteria should have been.

Fans attending UEFA cup games with UEFA Cup loyalty points first.
Non attending season ticket holders second.
Non attending match card holders third.
any left over open sale.

Its not the clubs fault at all. Judging by other matches this season they never expected this amount of interest, neither did I or most of the fans. If everyone showed the same interest in the other UEFA matches then they would have used a loyalty scheme, but cos most fans havent been interested in the UEFA so far they didnt think they would need to. The only peoples whos fault it is are the ones who couldnt be arsed going when it was 15 quid.
