It may not be 100% down to Torres whether he leaves Liverpool or not.
As previously discussed the level of their debt is well known, they have appointed a manager who in relative terms does not have a history of splashing the cash around, (albeit at less profile English clubs amongst others). He has an ability of being able to make decent players better, rather than signing finished articles. In fact, he may well be under instructions of sell before you can buy. Both ourselves and Liverpool are under transition but for very different reasons.
Also the Gerrard situation will no doubt affect Torres, IF Gerrard leaves then I cant really see that having any other effect than a massive negative one - he is their tallisman and who would they replace him with?

have got to say willbeggers that i agree with fixer on this,your quoting what torres supposedly said to a mascot ......how do we know the mascot aint a wum?? does tevez,johnson etc tell all our mascots everthing?? imo id take those torres quotes with a pinch of salt,its just something the dippers are clinging onto cos they fer the battle ahead.the mascot probably got a 'hello' at best and his mum&dad said what did torres say....oh dad he told me hes staying and wont play for man city in a million years!!! yeah rite
