If we were solely based in the UK then it wouldnt matter

but us having CFG clubs in South America it’s probably why we are fighting them

It's tricky though.

A Brand has to protect it's intellectual property, they can't 'let one go', else they don't have a leg to stand on down the line.

Private Eye gets a letter from the Portakabin manufacturers everytime they use the word Portakabin, because it's a copyrighted word and it's printed on the letters page under the title 'What a pathetic way to make a living'.

Even though it's in common UK parlance (like Hoover), as no-one wants to use the phrase 'temporary moveable office building'
That’s what people don’t understand. We can’t let one go, regardless of their stature.

To us fans it’ll seem a bit of an overreaction but to the club, who as much as we like or loath it, are trying to build a brand it’s absolutely the right thing to do. We’ve all waxed lyrical about how our owners haven’t invested for the here and now but how they’ve invested for the future as well - so with that in mind we’ve done the right thing by protecting our brand, we are protecting our future.

Maybe there is some middle ground. You could write to them and ask them to pay you a nominal amount to us it. That way its protected.
Yes, But I think you'd have to start with an official 'desist' letter and then have an informal chat about moving forward. Maybe that's actually what's happening.
