The thing is I get what you are saying but given the global group we have, without actually saying so specifically, could they be passing themselves off as being part of the group?
And then CFG find themselves having to defend themselves in court denying that this club nor the youth team coach fiddling with the kids had anything to do with CFG..... yet this club state "well we had the badge for 4 years.... what more proof do you need.... CFG didn't object did they?"
Extreme I know..... but the club / group has to protect itself
Highly unlikely considering they had that badge about 10 years before our current one which shows just how ridiculous this cease and desist from City is. There's numerous club badges that predate our latest badge which are similar.

I quite like it
It flatters our club that someone wants to copy our badge
The two are hardly going to get mixed up are they???

If you take it away from football & look at it as a business logo, no corporate business would be happy with someone copying their logo, so whilst I don’t give a toss personally, if it were my business, I’d do exactly the same, so fair play

Are you sure? Why have 2020 on the badge if that’s not when they were formed?

Many years ago we had a running club with the initials RR and we made up a badge with the initials intertwined just like the Rolls Royce badge. This maker of luxury cars somehow found out and we got a legal letter telling us to stop using it in case our little group of fun runners were confused with said luxury car makers.
2 idiotic over-reactions doesn't make 1 sensible choice :)

They've not even played 1 game yet apparently! They must have been perfecting how to use the copy paste feature on mancity.com for those 10 years then ;)
