City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

I am a little puzzled by City's action on the actual rule that bans sponsorship from organisations/companies owned /part owned by City's owners. If Successful This would leave us open to the sports washing charge that the Spaniard has been harping on about for 8 years proving the obnoxious little man right.

Surely City would have no trouble getting sponsorship from unconnected companies - we already have Nissan, Nexen Tyre's, Kelloggs on board why do we need grubby middle east companies with ties in Russia and dodgy human rights issues.

If city win then whats to stop 'Jim i'll Fix it' from sponsoring the rag shirt for £200m a year as he owns INEOS (20 billion a year turnover) & a stake in the rags. it's bad enough we helped there finances by losing the FA Cup final getting them into the Europa League but to put it mildly we will be waking the sleeping giant just when we have our boot on their

Terrifying, huh?

Fcuking fannywipe.

Someone should ask the prick what he thinks of this https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...determined-to-see-premier-league-games-in-usa

Yes, next up vote for no relegation, closed shop bollocks (just after we've been "relegated" of course).
Said it for years. The biggest danger to the PL is from the West.

Playing one PL game over there will be ok, as it hasn't harmed the NFL......next the MLB. If their sports come over here why not ours over there?

Oh, and as much as they'll deny it you know for a fact most of the media will agree. There'll be a sprinkling of dissent but they'll be brought round.

'good for the global reach'

'expanding into North America is the best thing for the future of the PL'

We can all write the headlines ourselves.

The game is fucked.

The current sustainability rules are harming the Premier league because with the constraints clubs have to work to means there will be no more superstars coming to the Premier league , we signed a superstar in Haaland when he turned down Real. But Mbappe has gone to Real with a near £100m signing on inducement , there will be a drain of talent because Premier league clubs will not be able or allowed to pay the fees and wages required to attract the very best.
The Geordies have all the money in the world but they have to sell one of Bruno or Izak to meet the new finanicial limits , Chelsea have also been mentioned they have been trying to sell Gallagher , the Premier league are damaging their own product at the behest of the Rags & Dippers , it suits their Yank owners becasue they do not want to invest in their clubs , quite the opposite they want a nice chunk of any profits.

Newcastle having to sell Bruno, what do you think?
I wouldn’t trust what the media are saying, they’ve been trying to sell Bruno and Isak on since January. I believe both will be at Newcastle next season. As far as FFP goes we’re sailing close to the limit but don’t think we’ve went over. My guess is as good as all the media guesstimates including Sky Sports.

They do but as La Liga reasserts itself as the best league in the world PL revenues will decline and the Yanks will get less dosh.

Because United & Liverpool have no shares in these companies or own them
This independent body who will carry out fair value checks - will be the same people who have the red cartels interests to the forefront and created the EPL rules in the first place to stop City
We don't own every company in the middle east either.

But it's irrelevant even if we did. Loads of clubs have been sponsored by companies with links to owners, both in the past and now.

If the sponsorship is at fair market value, who cares?
