That's why I asked the question. Maybe there are more whispers floating around from different sources. I haven't seen any but I haven't been paying much attention to the "press".

I assumed it was based on the Premier League meeting where they withdrew proposed changes to the database on sponsorships but didn’t revise any of the changes made in February which City were challenging

I suppose that is most likely. I was just trying to hear from the horse's mouth whether it was just that, in which case it can probably be ignored (as the PL themselves have said the proposed change was dropped after comments from several clubs), or whether there was more to it, in which case it could be important.

Really do not care if it helps Newcastle or not, if Newcastle wish to change things they can always challenge the Prem over the legality of rules and regulations as they see fit , i am sure they can afford lawyers etc .

I am sure he just repeats what he is told like all these other "journalists". The problem is what he is told and by who.

Which is why I was trying to find out if there were any other sources of that rumour that we don't know about. I guess not.
