City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

That's an interesting view.
Why is it City v the PL ?
Even us, the fans know we have at least 5 or 6 clubs who will vote in our favour, I want them to back us now, explaining why it is in the best interests of the Premier League to sort the matter out so that the rules are legally binding.

Just trying to be realistic here. The whole case, imho, is about getting the new Etihad deal passed. No other clubs care about the Etihad deal, they will vote whatever is best for them and I am not sure the PL can't offer them something to keep them sweet.

Not that I am worried by this vote. If City are right and the tribunal finds that the PL can't just amend the existing rules because they are null and void, then the vote doesn't matter. Even if this rule-changing resolution is passed, I imagine the club would be asking for an "injunction" to stop the new rules becoming effective until the tribunal has announced their findings.

And to me, City's position seems more justifiable than the PL's. But I know fuck all, of course.

I was trying to think of an analogy for this latest twist and came up with a situation where you go to the doctor with a medical issue, and the doctor dismisses your concerns. However you go back and they agree there's something wrong and they were wrong to dismiss your concerns.

So they do some tests, then send you to a consultant who does some more tests. But before the test results come back, the GP sends you for surgery, even though they don't know what the specific problem actually is yet.

If Masters & the cartel manage to get these unlawful rules through, does that mean we've got to go back to an independent panel which could take another 6 months & stops us increasing revenues enough to prevent us signing the replacements we need.

It feels as though the cnuts are trying to replicate the dragging out of the Newcastle takeover.
I expect we will apply for an injunction

I still cannot bring myself to believe that EVERY media person out there believes what they write. And I certainly don't believe many, if any, actually HATE City.

If you remove the last two words in your sentence above and replace with"...that gets clicks and makes money", I could believe it.

Unless I'm living in a blinkered, Utopian bubble.
They don't but it's their job on the line, they have to follow the editorial line, many journalists will sell their soul to get a regular gig, and write articles that please their pay masters it really is the most despicable profession nowadays
