They don't want to block all money coming in to the league, just some money from a specific region

Look at the increased transfer of players to La Liga.
Masters may well whore games to the US to try and keep the league relevant.

Yep, we've de-railed the mutually assured gravy train between the PL and their preferred Clubs.
Competition from outside of those preferred Clubs wasn't envisaged in 1992 when the protection racket was established.
