City live 2015/2016 5th August

Not watched any of it but heard we announced the promotion of the young lads to the first team.

I'm shocked it's being slated on here. What was wrong with it?

They showed Sterling's interview on Sky Sports and it came across well.

It was just shit. Poorly presented, didn't know its target audience and to be square with you it was just fucking cheesy. No content whatsoever.

A wasted night. The wife bought the tickets, it's not something I'd do, it's for the anoraks and the scarfers generally speaking.

Some proper blues thrown amongst it, got the tunes going once or twice.

I won't go again.

I think this stuff about the youngsters being promoted is a bit of a bullshit talk just yet. I mean, if we do sign De Bruyne, there is no way Lopes would be included in the squad as he would barely play in the League Cup, considering Pellegrini counts with a squad of 22 (quite understandably).

Iheanacho and Denayer seem to be dead certs as we're clearly not after a new CB or striker, but with Lopes it seems tricky. If De Bruyne or anybody else (CM,AM) is coming to the first team, then the best would still be another loan, BUT if we can't extend his contract that runs out in June next year, then I really can't see this happening for him at City. A part of me even says that why all the fuss about De Bruyne when we're having this great talent already...

(To the whole City Live programme: I was only watching the stream but I don't exactly know why are people complaining about it, how else it should have been done? This type of entertainment will always be a bit dull and the only reason I watched is because I love City. But I guess for that reason alone, it was well worth watching, despite nothing really happening at all.)

They are all fair observations but I've always thought the City Live stuff is cheesy. So is the half time entertainment and the City TV live stuff they do shortly before kick off. The club seem to be going down this Disney World route.

Enjoyed it, fantastic what the club now does. Love the production, the innovative ideas and opportunity you give kids to do something they could only dream of. Those two kids backstage will remember that forever. Not sure what those who chose to watch for the full 2 hours then just moan were expecting!?

If I was a kid growing up and I had got the chance to see my hero's in the flesh and show some recognition to all the players across the club I would have been in my element. As a grown adult I simply enjoyed the lighthearted banter and to hear from some of our hero's as well as show our appreciation.

Of course it's daunting for the players and the interviews are never going to be truly insightful, these are footy players not celebrities after all.

Loved the passion that Mike Weddurburn showed for the club. One of the few allies we have in the mainstream media and yet some fans set out to ostracise him.

Well done City, shame that the effort you put in to build fan engagement is not appreciated by the 'too cool for school' element of our fan base.

Keep it up please!

Hear, hear!!

I think it's more the fact they charged £10 to £25 a ticket for this rubbish that most people are probably bothered about - a juniors blues panto in the 80s was more professional than this tat!
