City live 2015/2016 5th August

Been to each one and felt this was the worst by some distance.

The production/editing so was so badly done it was embarrassing. The videos were not in sync with what the presenters were talking about. The clips of goals etc hit the screen about 2/3 seconds into the clip so all you saw was the ball going in the net, not who shot until they played a replay. Really basic, amateur mistakes. It came across as unrehearsed and targeted at a much younger audience than previous years. I really enjoyed the previous two but unless it changes dramatically, I won't be going again and I don't think many will.

Prefer a comedian to host it, thought Mike and Natalie did a decent job but with Manford last year, he brought an adult humour to it so it was entertaining throughout, rather little dripfed attempts at entertainment like last night. Don't get me wrong, it's great City do this, but if you're going to do it, do it properly or not at all.

I also wouldn't serve alcohol in future. I don't see why people see City Live as a reason to get hammered but I was surrounded by people pissed up, barely taking any notice of what was happening, generally being a pissed up pain in the arse as people usually are after a few, more interested in talking shite, taking selfies and shouting random comments only they find amusing. If you wanna get pissed up, you're round the corner from Manchester's bars. I love a skinful like any other bloke but I don't see the attraction at an event like that. Had a couple of bottles and that was it. As anyone knows, when you're sober surrounded by pissed up people, it can be rather annoying.

Maybe I'm just a miserable bastard. (I'm not).

There just wasn't any content. I went to the first one and there was a quiz with people picked out of the crowd etc... This year it was literally just straight through all the awards with no breaks. The editing was dreadful too. Ok overall.

I didnt go last night and have not been to any of the 'City Live' events. It just isn't my cup of tea, I'm happy to leave it to other fans. What I find amazing is the grumpy buggers on here slagging it off. You lot shouldn't have been there in the first place and then slag it off when you find it too 'american' or 'chessy'.

Oh well, not long now till you can moan at the Etihad when we are not 4-0 up at half time.

What an utterly bizarre post.

Hold on, you're complaining about fans who complain about an event that they find too American or cheesy. But, you didn't go because of the same reason. If people who didn't go can't complain as per your post then what gives you the right too? POT KETTLE BLACK much?

We currently have no one in the famous number 9 or 10 shirts, although rumour is that Kun will move to squad number 10

Nail on the head. Idea great. Let down by poor production.

Been to the last two and thought they were excellent,
Being as the night is based on a review of last season it was always going to be a struggle.
For it to be a success we need a good season to review ,a good comedian and a well know band people will stay and watch, unfortunately last night had none of these.

I and the mrs and kids and couple other guys went. It wasn't brilliant, bordered on amateurish, but it was still a good effort from the club. Maybe it came across as shit when watching from home but it was better beiing there, it just needs more support.
