I don't understand.

They have a venue to book, security/events management etc, then the music and comedy acts etc, probably a host. There is a lot of expense that goes into booking an event like this.

I don't understand why people don't expect to be charged.

It costs more than £25 for a music gig, or comedy gig. You're getting both in one, with a few surprises i'm sure, and it's all City themed. May not be everyones cup of tea, but great for the kids and I can think of worse events to spend £25 on.
Your correct mate you don't understand. It's just a cringeworthy rip off.
They just need an open training day so the kids can enjoy it
The open training day is all it needs, they've done it before as have plenty of other clubs. They could, for those who care about such things, even extend it to an hour of signing autographs if they players agreed.
Maybe the powers that be have got us mixed up with the New York franchise. ;-)
'Let's hear it for Vincent 'V-Man' Kompany' *cue fireworks, confetti and glitter being shot into the air*
Well people paid good money by City don't agree.

I'm sure it will be a top night for people that like that sort of thing, awards, music and comedy and all for only £25. Cheaper than any gig you will go to this year. And no one is forced to go, but as usual the most vocal are the moaners that won't even be going.

Go on the transfer forum, you'll have a field day on there criticizing people who don't agree with something.
It's a stupid idea, but that's my point of view, one i'm surely allowed to air on a forum. As you've said, those who will go will have a good time, i'm sure.

people moaning before the acts are announced it could well be a cracking night. I paid £50 to sit in tier 3 for Bon Jovi at the etihad...great gig but £50 to have to rely on the stage screen to see the band clearly!

This sort of thing is for the families and youngsters it will be a great day out for them how much do people pay to go to Alton towers or a day out at Blackpool?

Oh you don't think it is a good idea?

I hadn't worked that out from your first 4 posts on it in 3 pages. Luckily the 5th I am quoting has made me understand.

As I say, the moaners are always the most vocal.

Right, ok.

if this thread is a reasonable reflection of rest of the clubs support , they're gonna be lucky if the much hoped for 10,000 show up !

Liked it right up till they said £25. It's good to have a cost to keep trouble makers out but it's a bit steep isn't it? And I'd have thought giving the money to charity or City in the Community would be better for PR.

had to laugh when has £25 ever kept a city headbanger out Lol
