It all just be down to age/preference and what a particular fan enjoys doing in their role as a City fan.
The blokes I used to go with were all alot older than me, so I took on their mentality of pub - football - pub - curry, which was almost ritual on a weekend especially. If one of us said 'fancy that MTV-style awards/disco that City are putting on?', they would get ripped apart.

The opposite of that of course is the fans who partake in anything the club does, or those with city-supporting kids. They will rightfully enjoy it, and good luck to them. All part of the new-era of supporting a football club in my eyes, and many fans, myself included, are stuck on the Kippax in the pissing down rain, looking forward to another shit load of beer after ;-)

I'm 42 (Ouch!) and will be attending this event with people with a group of blues age range of mid 20's - early 60's. The same people who I went to Dortmund away, Wembley x2 this year and tons of other domestic and european games over the years. Our night will be along the lines of: "pub - launch party - pub - curry".

They've not even announced the format or the guests yet and people are ready to stick the boot in. As I said earlier, for £25, you'd expect it to be a decent show.
Haha, fair play to you!

He's not even mentioned 235 casino til the first bus home comes

This is just the medium sized July announcement, the big July announcement will come when the plans for the stadium extension are made public by the club in the coming days. You will get an email then.

Change for the better? Change for the worse? Who knows, but change certainly. I bet plenty shunned the idea of floodlights, subs, moving from Hyde Rd, the demise of charging the keeper, the ongoing removal of contact in essentially a contact sport etc.

You pays your money and takes your choc-ice.

With it being a Thursday, 235 casino, then straight to work is more likely.

Hang on you negativity merchants, it also double as the awards from last year so it would be a good do to have a drink and watch the players receive their awards and get a chance to hear from our new manager addressing the fans I'm sure.

Think I'll probably make the effort if there's nowhere else I need be as I wouldn't want our new manager's first meeting with the fans to be a half empty room so I'll play my part.

Any excuse for a piss-up eh? ;)

I'm 47 and this sounds like a good day out for me and my ten year old son. To me £25 doesn't sound a lot at all for what's on offer - in terms of entertainment £25 buys you little these days

Aint payin 25 squid for that, Taksin throws the best party, i bet they dont even have a fucking karaoke machine.

Good idea in principal but, to only have seating available with live bands on puts me off concerts are shite in the seats, also with the summer holidays and the season starting a week after it's £25 that could be better spent elsewhere. and it's true thaksins concert in the square was enjoyable because it linked in with a home friendly before it making it a good all round day out, think they should have not bothered in the helsinki game and had a prestigious home friendly with this after on the 10th.
