There is already an U-25 Rep, plus a Young Families one, but I agree the age demographic seems to be at the older end of the spectrum. We don't know whether that was typical of the applicants, possibly because over-65's were targeted for specific communications and therefore were over-represented in the application process, or how they were shortlisted by the club.
One problem is that the role requires a fair bit of commitment. The full meetings are every 4-6 weeks, from 6-8:30 and we'll generally try to get sub-group meetings (and a rep might be on two of those) arranged to tie in with the full meetings. So that'll be 4-6 or something or they could be earlier. I've gone in for individual meetings, where there have been retail issues or something and there was one day I was there from midday till 9pm.
I was lucky that I wasn't working for part of my tenure and that my current job gives me sufficient flexibility but not everyone could do that.
