City player's performances at Euro 2020

Delighted for Mancini thought he was sha not on at City would have him back any time. How a man can be sacked for getting runners up spot in the league and cup one year after winning the league and two after winning the cup ending a 34 year trophy drought.

That's such an interesting and unique view point and not at all one that's been argued to death and back over the past 8 years.

Our boys have disappointed overall.

Walker - played like he was on the piss the night before first game, with some incredibly erratic passing didn't play second game likely as a result of that.

Stones- good. Not been tested much in truth but not put a foot wrong so far.

Foden - shown flashes but not been given the ball enough and is first off due to seniority in the squad rather than performance, played in a position that was always likely to see him hamstrung.

Sterling - some good movement, scored but has sadly had just as many sterling moments as good, can't control the ball, woeful decision making and finishing. Typical sterling of the last 18 months really.

Dias - poor. Seems to be an eagerness to blame the rest of the Portugal defence which has credence but he has to take responsibility as well, he's been way off. Channeled his inner Dunne too.

Bernardo - felt he's looked threatening when he's played, the most threatening of the Portuguese players anyway but has been first subbed in both games, one at half time so you can't say he's been good.

Zinchenko - done alright. Hasn't stood out for the Ukraine so far despite being one of their better players on paper, needs to do more but hasn't been bad. gets a pass

Ake - behind Blind in the pecking order, came on in both games, not done anything wrong and got an assist but hasn't been involved enough to get anything more than an average.

Laporte - can't dictate play anywhere near as much from the right, bizarre to have him that side when pau torres doesn't offer what laporte does on the ball. That's not his fault though. Had little to do defensively with Spains possession and dominance but got bullied by lewandowski which cost them the win.

Rodri - the epitome of the Spanish performance this tournament, sideways and backwards safety first approach, gave the ball away needlessly numerous times. Convinced he's tucked his shirt into his tit high shorts in an effort to make himself more mobile.

Torres - the Invisible man. started one game and the other he was on the bench, hard to tell you which was the game he started as there was no difference in his performance and impact in both games. Anonymous.

Gundogan - hit and miss. Had some moments of pure class but he's in a midfield 2 with kroos who does very much the same thing as him, when it works it works magnificently, when it doesn't they both look badly exposed.

Kdb - only played 45 minutes but turned the game on its head single handedly with a virtuoso performance despite still being injured. Best of the bunch by a mile.

I find the reviews of Walker hilarious. He kept a clean sheet against the most dangerous forward England have faced and he created the only goal they've scored at the tournament.

Southgate's attempt to replace him with a more attacking player backfired massively as England looked less dangerous going forward and were open at the back.

Wow, quite surprised by the commentary on City’s players.

Haven’t seen a one of them have a bad game yet, although Dias own goal was a result of not getting into position and he goes to ground to easily.

What next? Jesus is shit because Brazil scored 4 and he didn’t bag one?!

I think too many Blues are turning into Rags!

I think Mancini has matured into a great manager.
When he was with us there were a lot of "temperamental" players.
Balotelli Yaya Tevez.
His handling of Balotelli and Tevez might have been better. Although not sure what he could have done at the time.

Couldn’t care less what they are doing as long as they don’t get injured. The English boys probably back soon, shame the others likely to go for a couple more weeks.

He is a confrontational character and did not fit in with how the club wanted to develop but was exactly the right guy at the time we employed him.
International management probably suits him better than club management. I would be delighted for him if Italy won the tournament - maybe we could have a fundraiser to pay for a "Congratulations Roberto" message in an Italian paper to echo his classy act after leaving City.
