City removing seats

I sit in row P and get totally soaked on every single occasion it rains, why anyone would choose to sit in the first 3 rows unless it's incredibly cheap I do not know.. Add to that the fact that the pitch seems to be at least a metre higher than it was

I think (based on what I’ve read on here) Danny was doing a lot of good stuff for fans back then. That seems to have gone over time with more pressures of work etc but that’s natural in life.

Btw when I was kicked out of the North Stand and then 206, I was able to sort my new seat with the ticket office who I have always found pretty helpful.
I wrote an email to the club about 11 years ago and Danny personally rang me up and we had a good chat for about 45 minutes.

but it’s like the ticket office, in all those years of flack they’ve got for being shit, they’ve always been spot on with me. Never had a single issue.

The problem is that those seats at the front are cheaper than most other seats. So while those people will get the new seats at the price they're currently paying, they'll be charged the going rate for their new seat after a period. Hopefully those moved will ultimately get seats they can afford but they might not.

And while I certainly wouldn't want to sit there, some people (kids particularly) like being that close to the players.
I’m one of those affected by this. I relocated to it 2 or 3 seasons back because it was about £200 cheaper than my seat further up in SS1. However, I’ve never once been in the seat as I choose to stand with my mates elsewhere in that section and often take up multiple locations during the same match so I guess I can’t complain too much, and thanks to my non-attendance in that particular seat the empty seat counters will have had a field day with their red marker pens. I just hope I can get another seat in that same section which ought not to be a problem as long as I’m on it when the window for me to relocate opens.

However, as you’ve said there will be others on a tight budget who can ill afford to move to a potentially more expensive seat.

Well when messi comes we going to make a killing on advertisement so shifting those shit front row seats is well worth it and anyone who has to move will be in a better seat to those.
Supposing they were sat next to Friends and they now have to split up. ?

so many people run with the supposition - Let’s get the facts before slagging off the club. Those front seats were crap - you got soaked & had a poor view. So, it might be that the fans affected will have better seats for the same price.
But hey - let’s be negative eh
It's people choice if they sit in them or not.

He’s Director of Sales, Service and Operations so this will be within his remit and / or he will put the business case up to Soriano.

Tbf I haven’t met Danny and he might be a great guy and he has a very busy job. That said, on the two occasions I wrote to him to help fellow Blues I didn’t get a reply. FWIW, when I asked Kevin Parker for the same help it was sorted in no time.
Sorry Tim, my experience of Danny has been the exact opposite. I can understand how difficult it must be when you have had different experiences. I can say that my experience with Kevin Parker have normally been good although again I do know people who have said differently.
Personally I think that this has come from higher than Danny but he has to put his name to it. I can imagine him arguing the toss with the powers that be, but that is just my perception.

Stay safe, take care. :-)

which all goes to prove you can’t please all the people all of the time - or on here, some of the people ANY of the time

for one season and then after that the price would go up. The reason people moved to those front seats is because they were a lot cheaper.

other then ss3, which is nigh on impossible to get a season ticket in the rest of the ground is very expensive.

not compared with other clubs. Much as I love City, FFP has proved that we have to be self sufficient- rich owners or not. The club knows it has loyal fans but there’s only so much it can do.

Cue loads of disgruntled posters complaining about the club not caring ......
