This is all well and good but getting too and from the stadium is a nightmare.
Correct and absolutely nothing in terms of improvements or increases in public transport seems to be being mentioned at all.

There are some great guys in SS3 that get the singing going, like you say its to far for us to link though. A few of the guys sometimes come to SS lower from SS3 for CL games and cups when we get tickets.

1894 cant go in SS3 for a few reasons, mainly as we can not do any displays from there, security wont allow flags and other material needed to display. It is very important that we get visual at games, the club cameras hardly focus on our flags and banners as it is in lower SS, SS3 would never get seen.

If SS lower / Kippax corner / SS3 can start getting singing then once we do the north stand and all move there it will be spot on, it will take a few seasons but we cant do anything about that.

Also there is season ticket availability. Often people say just group at the back off 115 or just go in the middle. But season tickets are snapped up so we cant move. We got a chance to look at 115 season card availability in May, there is hardly a seat not taken up. So nobody can move places.

Thanks for response.I still would give up the flags if it meant taking SS3 as a singing section. That said you guys do a great job.

Cheers mate, I agree in that I wish the singing was loud as it should be, nothing better than going to footy having a sing song and getting it going. As it stands with singers all over the stadium and no safestand it is difficult to get going. I'm sure when we get safestand and all the singers get a window to move in to the north stand if it is built with fans in mind it will get going. It has to do really because if that doesn't work nothing else will.

Been doing this atmosphere stuff 5 years and grown to like the look of the flags, if you cant be heard be seen. Shame we cant hang banners like they do abroad, behind the goal looks mint in city flags. But every available space on view is used for advertising.

I can’t see how the club is going to spend £50m to turn the North Stand to a single tier and as a result decrease our earnings (due to exec boxes being demolished).

No club in the world would do that, it makes no sense whatsoever.

The answer for me is to make the NS a replica of the SS, and turn the East Stand lower tier in to all safe standing. It would be brilliant to see the whole side of the pitch that the camera focuses on jam packed full of blues stood up creating an atmosphere which could potentially spread to both ends of the stadium.

It could be the biggest standing section in the country and would tie in with City’s history of having the singing stand run alongside the side of the pitch.

It looks like the idea of safe standing is far from how you envisage it

The single tier would be paid for by the hugely expanded superstore and an indoor fan zone of scale beneath the stand.

The club are doing feasibility studies. The man who told me about he single tier option (I was the first to mention it in here) told me very recently it is still the aim. They don’t need any more corporate boxes. They recognise the business plan of younger fans and pay on the day options.

Be patient - it will happen.
